I would like there to be an opt out choice in the clan wars for people who are placed in the war but do not want to ( for what ever reason) fight in it. It should only be available in preparation day time and then the place should be filled by the next available clan member. This would stop non active players from taking a place in a war that an active member of less rank could possibly fill. this would make wars so much more enjoyable for the active players.

It's a nice idea. We war once per week, and if you're planning on not being available for war, it's your responsibility to drop into the bottom 4 (trophy count) so you're not in the war. (We cap at 49 members and do 45 v 45 wars). It works for us, but it's not a fun system for people that have to drop down in trophies.
It wouldn't work to opt out during prep day for clans that have 50 members already or something though. Then you're in a 50 v 50 war and opting out would put you down a member with nobody else to fill. It needs to be a pre-war option.
I know this has been suggested...LOTS...of times, but it's still a good idea, and worth supporting.
