Join Dragons of Alki (87 wins, level 3) for Back to Back Wars
Looking for Back to Back Wars? Dragons of Alki is Recruiting!
Who we are: Dragons of Alki was formed on June 28th, 2014 by friends who aimed to build a clan with the primary objective of maintaining a group of active members who all participate in each of the back to back wars. The clan has grown quickly and we have built a core group of players that actively donate. Each member is expected to use both attacks in every war. If you are looking for back to back wars with a respectable winning record, consider Dragons of Alki.
The clan has won a total of 87 wars, and is 8-2 in the last 10. We have reached Clan Level 3. We are currently at 36 members (March 16, 2015).
1. Back to back clan wars – This is a foundational component of the clan. We deliver on our commitment to being one of the few clans that offers back to back wars.
2. Accommodating donors, offering high level troops such as dragons, witches, hogs, etc. Some members are even accommodating to the more uncommon requests. We do not have a donation quota. Quite frankly, we do not mind if you request troops after each farming raid - it will get filled (with farming troops: barbarians, archers, etc. We don't typically have dragons, witches, or hogs lying around for farming). If you are an active donor, it will of course be appreciated.
3. Competitive gameplay - The clan currently has 87 war wins (March 16, 2015). We are 8-2 in our last 10 wars. We do not emphasize trophies or trophy pushing, but we share attack strategies, give feedback on base layouts, and are all interested in winning every clan war we are in. By warring continuously, we expect to make rapid progress on Clan Level/Clan Perks.
4. A family-like feeling. Once a player has joined, they tend to stick around. It is a welcoming atmosphere with respectable members.
5. Extremely stable leadership. Ranks are earned (not asked for) and only given to people who prove themselves over time. Elders and Co-Leaders have proven themselves through consistent war performance, loyalty, and sometimes donation volume.
Clan War Rules of Engagement:
1. Use BOTH attacks in every war. This is a fundamental rule that the clan has been built upon. If you cannot keep up with back to back wars, this clan may not be the right fit for you. If you can, then you’ve finally found a clan that will consistently deliver on its commitment of back to back wars.
2. If you are unable to attack during a war, please let a Leader or Elder know in advance. We are flexible when we are made aware, but are quick to remove inactive members from the clan if we are not made aware.
3. Preparation Day: Leaders, Elders, and loyal members provide a courtesy to all other members - Clan War Clan Castles will all be filled with an established default set of troops, unless something different is specifically requested. Do not donate to Clan War Clan Castles without understanding and following the clan default. If a member specifically requests different troops, that request will be accommodated. If you cannot meet this criteria, then leave the Clan War Preparation Day donations to those that can. We want to ensure that we are setting each member up with the best chance to succeed with a strong defense.
4. Attack the highest base you think you can realistically 3-star. Do not snipe one star from the top bases to pull in extra loot, or take out a bottom base for the sake of an easy three stars. Based on how the first attack goes, adjust up or down accordingly.
5. Attack with a war army that can demonstrably get 3 stars, if you're attacking TH8 or below, or 2 stars, if you're attacking TH9 or above. Understand that if you are building serious war armies, you may not make an elixir profit, even with winning war loot; 20 level 2 or 3 dragons plus spells are expensive. But if you're TH7 or TH8, that's probably what you should be rolling out, unless you have another proven winning army.
6. Don't go to war without a full clan castle, or without full spells (unless your spell factory is upgrading). Requirements:
1. Must be active enough to maintain two attacks in back to back wars.
2. We prefer to recruit adults, but there is no set age limitation. We are a laid back group and easy to get along with. There may be strong language used at times.
3. 1200 trophies to join.
4. Donate only what is asked for. (A.K.A “Respect the Request”)
5. Town Hall 8+ preferred. We do not like rushed town hall bases! A well-developed TH7 is preferable to a rushed TH10. TH6 and below will not be accepted. Specific requirements for acceptance by TH level:
TH7: 200 camp space, level 2 dragons, 2 level 9 barracks
TH8: Level 3 dragons, level 5 Barbarian King
TH9: 220 camp space, level 5 Archer Queen, level 3 dragons and level 6 balloons, OR level 3 golems and level 3 PEKKA, OR level 5 hog riders. Must demonstrate ability to reliably 2-star comparable bases.
TH10: 220+ camp space, 25+ hero levels. Must demonstrate ability to reliably 2-star comparable bases.
6. Have fun!!! While we are a competitive group of players, we also realize at the end of the day that we are playing a game! If you aren't having fun then you're not doing it right!
If you plan on joining... simply send us a request in-game. We would appreciate it if you mention the SuperCell forum, so we know how you heard about us, but it is not a requirement.

We just won our 40th war. That winning war loot always tastes so sweet! If you want to get some for yourself, join us! You MUST know the meaning of "use both attacks in every war!" For some reason, that seems to be a difficult concept for people. If you have a firm grasp of that, I look forward to seeing you.
Midway through the current war, we're ahead something like 55-25. I'm pretty sure the opponent will close that gap considerably, but they have made a number of ill-considered attacks; they may not have a ton of war experience. Anyway, we're in a pretty good place right now: people are getting troop upgrades done, so we're getting a little bit better attacks across the board, and we've got a solid group of 25 warriors going at it. If you've read the original post, and like what we're all about, come and join the fun!
We got the win in a close one last night, which one of our members pointed out was our 49th win. So, with our current war, we have a chance to get win number 50! Of course there are clans with lots more, but I think that's a pretty cool milestone. If you want to be a part of many wins still to come, look us up, and request in-game!
Your clan looks really interesting and I would love to join!
I've played in a "war clan" for a month or so now, but they don't really live up to my expectations...
Here are some facts about me:
- TH7 (That's quite low, but I think my war experience will leverage things out)
- Pretty much only upgrading for war (Defensive buildings, troops and so on)
- 1350 trophies but can pretty much go up to 1500 any time I want
- 20 years old
- Dedicated and loves CW
- Donates as much as I can.
- Can absolutely Gem to benefit my clan
Archers lvl 4
Giants lvl 4
Dragons lvl 2
Wiz lvl 3 (4 in a couple of days)
Hogs in 3 days
I usually pick 4-5 stars each war, and my base is quite good, maybe 2-3 stars on 2 attacks.
With seven hours of war left, we're ahead, 64-34. Enemy still has a lot of available attacks, and has 54 war wins, so I don't know if they'll push to try to make a comeback, or not. We have every available star from #8 down, and with the attacks we have left, we will probably get at most 2 more stars, but I don't think they have the troops to be able to catch up.
We have 29 members at the moment. Join in the next few hours to give us 30 for the next war!
This war is scary-looking, but it's going well so far.
We got the 50th win, and we added some members, so the current war is 30v30. Our opponent has more TH10s, more TH9s, and more TH8s than we do, and their top guys have better war troops. So far, though, we have a nice lead (still 10 hours left). We're up 64-39. We've used 39 attacks, they've used 30. But, we've only got 9 stars against their top 10 bases, and we may be hard pressed to get more. They've got 14 against our top 10, and may be able to get several more. So, we'll find out how active and effective they are!
Whether we win or not, we think constant wars make the game more interesting. We farm enough to cover the cost and still keep our bases progressing. If you feel the same way, check us out!
As predicted, the enemy came storming back, and ultimately beat us, 72-69. I didn't find that discouraging, though, because they just had us outmatched, and they were active enough to take advantage. The war for which we're now in prep day looks much more favorable: only 1 enemy TH10, and the rest of the ranks look pretty comparable to ours. We're continuing to upgrade, little by little. I finished level 2 PEKKA, and started level 3. Zebb finished level 5 Minions, because he's enjoying balloonioning up to Masters. Dom got level 4 Dragons to strengthen his air attack in wars. Madducks is finishing level 6 balloons, which have become all the rage as clan castle troops to complement dragon attacks.
If you like constant wars, but still keep your base and troops upgrading like crazy (or if you're already a maxxed TH10 that wants to sit at the top of a clan and pound on the top enemy bases!), come check us out, and request to join!
I have been amazed at how slowly our clan has been growing. This recruiting thread has a few hundred views now, and has definitely resulted in multiple members joining the clan. But, people come and go, for various reasons, and it has been hard to get the clan above about 32 members. Admittedly, we're getting a little more strict about the quality of our members - not the player level, or townhall level, but rather the suitability of the player for clan wars at their town hall level. It is definitely becoming more clear to me that for a war clan, it just doesn't make sense to have people whose war troops, army camps, and barracks aren't appropriate for their level. I kicked a member today because he insisted on attacking higher bases than he should in war, where he could only get one star (presumably to get more war loot), but also because he was a TH7 with only 180 army camp capacity, and has shown no signs of upgrading his camps.
I'm happy to say that a number of our mid- to high-ranked members are getting more serious about upgrading ground troops. There are some level 3 PEKKAs showing up, and people are starting to upgrade Golems, or at least talk about it. We have a scattering of people with level 4 and 5 Hog Riders. Our ground attack capability has been something of a deficiency, stemming I think from a TH8 mindset that most jobs can be done with mass Dragons.
We're trying to get things buttoned down, but without a lot of drama. Our members are very polite to one another, and our leaders go out of their way not to be jerks about things, although we do have to kick people out sometimes, mostly for non-participation.
If all this sounds like an environment that you want to be a part of, please check us out!
