Except image the incoherent rage we would see
"If you can add it for FC why can't you add it for Wars! We hate you SuperCell"

I'm basically against this because it feels like a fair enough place to put a gem cost.
If it was moved somewhere else, it would feel less fair (and probably annoy me more)

This generates SuperCell a lot of cash (because people spend a lot of gems on gemming heroes)
(and they're a company, companies like making lots of money. In fact if you were a shareholder of the company you would be demanding that they did!)

So until you offer up a suggestion for how SuperCell could replace that revenue with some other source, I don't think you stand a chance.

I agree with this, but I can't help feeling that they are missing out on revenues with their existing model. I can only speak for myself, but I have a steady income and am willing to pay for a game I like. But the amount needs to be in proportion to what other games would cost me. I've long contemplated some kind of subscription model, where you for 10€ per month get things that makes life easier (like able to use heroes in war). Not pay to win! With the current model I would need to pay 10€ for each upgrade, which results in me just waiting it out. I can't motivate spending 30-40 € per month on this game, when e.g. WoW costs much less.

That's half of why I want it.

The revenue that would be lost from this is totally irreplaceable. It's not just enough to raise costs elsewhere, you also have to actually make the same money. And who's gonna spend gems on anything like they do on heroes?
