Created a forum account specifically for this thread. This is the most pressing issue in clash. Nothing would generate more player goodwill and help retention/long term profits more than this one thing.
Supercell is trying to make it possible, but its complicated for them to work it.
RETIRED
I'll come around every once in a while, but for now, I'm retired.
I'll miss this place, and here's my lame CoC story

Thanks! Jelly out!
I'm going to disagree. The employees at Supercell are real people with families to feed, and people gemming heroes is one of their main source of incomes. So, may I? *rubs off last name from petition*
The above quote is known as a false dichotomy. Two options are presented as if no other options exist.
option A) give players what they badly want and lose the income source
option B) do not give players what they want, keep the business model as it is
There is a third option.
C) give players what they want (generates goodwill and potentially improves the game experience) and replace the current business model with a new one to preserve and possibly increase profits.
aka MONEY
that's also one reason why gemming heroes is cheap
i'm a programmer myself and i cannot see why there should be technical problems /
abusable things in this.
i mean, if you are currently upgrading a defense / hero / whatever, its also available
in war as defense.
what should stop sc to make heroes available for wars only?
its just a cheap lie when they say it has technical reasons.
the only real reason is money.

/signed. Having to opt out of wars because of heroes occurs very often, and shouldn't have to happen.
