I would love this to be a thing, I am a top attacker and cleaner for my clan in wars. When I am out for a week upgrading my hero's it puts a lot of stress on our clan and our log sometimes gets a little of that red stuff in it.
Clan's starting to improve but still, this is really annoying and not an even playing field.
Heroes are the coolest part of this game. That they spend more time down than up is ridiculous design. Supercell claims they want fair fights, but the matchmaking system for clan wars can't account for heroes being down.
I've got 1600 gems left from a big purchase 6 months ago. Supercell has a month or two to sort out whether they really want us to get fair fights or whether they really just want us to pay for gems to be able to use our heroes - and based on that, I'll decide whether I pay any more for this game or move on.
The idea makes sense on many levels. Heroes spend a lot of time regenerating for active players. Why not have them available all the time when they are not regenerating?
Attacking in clan wars when both King and Queen are missing is really hard. But when both heroes are always available even when they are being upgraded will make Clan Wars much more competitive and exciting. Really hope that SC will apply this idea in the next update.
At minimum they should make heroes always available in war. Optimum would be to move hero upgrades to the lab so they are always available. But absolutely they should always be war ready.
Supercell spent all this time on freaking TH11, designing new defenses and a new hero, but yet they can't overcome the "technical difficulties" of making heroes available during war?
Supercell, you can revamp the entire shield system, but you can't figure out the "technical difficulties" of making heroes available during war?
Supercell, you make millions upon millions of dollars per year, yet you cannot contract a person (it wouldn't take too long for one to code) to figure out these "technical difficulties"?
Can I just say that maybe you, Supercell, should use all that extra money that you gained from people gemming TH11, Eagle, Warden, and defenses on FIGURING OUT these "technical difficulties"?
You have managed to still let the Clan Castle be functional while it is upgrading, troops that are being researched to be available for attacking, and army camps that are being upgraded to still hold troops during war (if you made these unavailable during war, don't you think people would quit? Why continue to hurt your player base? Why punish them for progressing?). I'm surprised that such a large company would still say that there are "technical difficulties" regarding using heroes while they are upgrading for war.
Your players are giving you all the creative work-around solutions that answers how everything would work, it would be easy to code with all this input you have received.
I'd reckon that if you came out with this update, you may, just maybe, get some of the players who are leaving to come back. This could be your big monthly update by itself -- and I guarantee your players would say it is better than the TH11 update, better than each individual update by itself and also the conglomeration of all those December updates put together.
Or you could just start increasing build times and costs to upgrade buildings while you are just waiting around and not fixing this problem. Maybe that'll really kill Clash. Shoot, just make it so the player can only attack one target a day and the player doesn't have any input as to whom they attack, just log in and log out. And you could just let heroes be unavailable to attack in wars.
