this should've been available from the start of wars...I mean, you have them defensively...you have defenses and traps...it would balance out gameplay...

its true, the enemy has no hope against my war base with no archer queen. It isnt fair to them.
I would love this.. My king has been sleeping for 6 straight weeks, it would be nice to use him for wars. Plus I'm about to start doing my queen.. And everybody knows how impossible it is to attack competitively without her. This needs to happen.

It is a great idea. Do you try to make me play longer because of the choice I have to make either upgrade heroes or play clan war? It is not necessary. I will play regardless but it will be much more fun for everybody to have heroes during upgrade.
