I always wanted to use heroes during wars but because of this i have to opt out in wars for 3-4 days until my heronis upgraded

Agree it is the most painful part of clash of clans at the moment. heros only get noticeable better at the next ability level up. So at 7 days an upgrade it is 35 days, over a month, without the hero just to get a little better.

Everyone signing this petition should be ready for a lifetime (at least your life in COC) of being disappointed.

In another thread I estimated that the annual revenue generated from gemming hero time is likely in the neighborhood of $250-$300 million.

If you were in their shoes you'd NEVER make heroes available while upgrading. It makes no financial sense. This is all you need to know to understand why they will never change this. Ever ever ever ever. No matter how much you whine and complain about it.

What you are asking for them to do is roughly the same as asking any company to just start giving away their product for free. eg, asking Ferrari to just give us free cars because damnit, it sucks saving up for a car!!
