It is illogical not to update this feature.

I'd even like a modified version. You buy your heroes activities for like 10 gems per war. Spend 10 gems to pause their upgrade until you unpause it.

Definitely issue #1 with the game at the moment.

A great addition to this would be a flag on enemy bases that one can set to show that one is targeting that base. This would greatly help figuring out who's attacking who. Our clan avoids having more that 25 people because managing attacks without this is undoable unless there are guys permanently only micro-managing everything...

Heroes can defend no matter what, so they should attack no matter what, they take a huge amount of time to upgrade, about 1/3 of a real full year at best? more like a year practical? So this should happen. I came across a post something about how a barracks needs to be available at war. Not really is is not the same thing, you do not spend a 1/3 year upgrading it. Barracks also can't defend anything, saying no heroes in clan war is like you can't attack with your CC for 1/3 of a year.

Started the game in January and three days later became a member of Zombie brains, the only clan I ever been in. Town hall eight since April 16th.
Wars won, 86. War hero,543 stars
Don't speed upgrade your town hall, being a level nine or ten does not help you if you have gold walls or lower.

    Kid?

I earned my stuff, you do it to. Or are you entitled to heroes all the time because you started later or did not upgrade your heores as you should have as you progressed?

Let me restate. Earn your heroes. Pay your dues. I do not sign this. I hope it is never apart of the game.
I'm 26, hardly a kid. Also, the real world does not equate? Ok then.... This game didn't always have heroes, so you shouldn't use them anyways, since you know, the ones before that struggled without them, you should too.
Once again, PROGRESS. Whether real world, or in a game, progress means moving forward with new innovation, improving upon old ideas, and tweaking things until you get it right.
One of those improvements/tweaks? Heroes available in war, where once again, they're counted in the match up. Elitists like you need to get over themselves. Your, "struggle", is no different than any other example in real life or in entertainment. If not for stepping up and moving past struggles to improve life/games/music/movies/art/etc.... We'd still be in the dark ages......

As far as the residual effect of others 'earning their heroes' having it easier than it was for me, I would not harbor any resentment toward their good fortune just because I myself did not get to share in it.

And actually, since I am in a clan with others that are still working up their heroes in a way it is still my good fortune too. I play the game more as part of a team than a 'me' thing so benefiting my teammates is just as good.

This perfectly sums it up. Elitists want others to suffer and feel their pain out of some sort of jealous selfishness. Will I be upset when future kids, if I'm still alive which is doubtful, get interactive holographic video games or flying cars or holographic pokemon you can actually battle with in the real world?
Sure, I'd be super jealous that I didn't get that opportunity, but will I tell them they shouldn't enjoy it because older generations didn't have that option? No. I'll just be old, wrinkly, and using my holographic Blastoise to kick their butts

Not trying to derail thread, but my clan found a very effective solution/strategy that eliminates calling bases and has been winning us wars! Using 25 man war as an example:1-20 attack 5 spots below on first attack. (so 1 hits 6, 2 hits 7,etc...), then save their 2nd for any possible clean up. Our strongest then take on theirs for the 2nd attack.
Bottom 5 (21-25) can attempt stars, or hit for loot, helping them out a bit. We have found that since 5 spots below you is usually a pretty easy to take base compared to your own number, we maximize our 3 star potential with our first attacks. As long as your top people can carry their weight up top, you have a very high chance of winning.
This strategy means the weight of the win rests on the shoulders of the clans strongest, and their ability to attack, as well as their ability to defend.
I see too many wars where the opponents top don't have to do too much work because enough stars went untouched on their side. This forces them to have to hit your top to win.
