They aren't OP. You are not ever going to be able to defend vs a decent th8 or th9 anyway even if they have only barbs and archers, this is why I think that the loot penalty for lower level town halls is a good thing, but back on topic.

Since archers are pretty much neccessary (not in all raids but most) in every army to 100% a good base in the same TH and as advanced in that TH as you are they OP? NO.
Since giants are often needed for the same thing are they OP? NO.
Simply because loads of people use a unit doesn't mean it's OP, but most units in the game are unique and thus putting together things that work well together, like giants and healers (tanking and healing) to make a good combo is required for a good stratedgy.

And centralize your air defence, the reason I loved balloons at th6 was 80% of bases I saw had the air defence on the most outer layer of wall or outside, so I easily won after that by placing my balloons parrallel to archer towers who will be hitting my giants.
The best place for TH6 is around 1000. If you want to you can drop down to 900. 800 is too low IMO and 1100 is low TH7.

Move all collectors and storages into a corner away from defenses and delete the app
