I'm not sure that telling people something is ruled out is much use in the first place since many ideas by new OP rarely post again, they won't exactly know what it means/if someone is just messing with them, and the thread might get deleted anyways.
I do wonder if people who suggest ruled out ideas get a message of why their post was deleted or else they'd be confused... sort of makes me want to post a ruled out idea just to find out
