I think this is a very bad idea for a number of reasons. I will state the main objections that I see here and rest my case:
- Many clans do wars on a predetermined schedule and start wars at a time that ensures them that there strongest players are available shortly before the war ends in order to conduct a number of last minute attacks that might put them ahead (especially if the enemy already thought they had the win in the bag and started going after exposed THs for loot). This is a very common war strategy that would be null and void with these "rushed prep days".
- No responsible leader would agree to a shortened prep day if there is a risk of some members not being able to join the fight. In many (if not most) clans, the lower level players attack first, so if the war starts a few hours after the begin of prep day these players would need to be available. It would become a nightmare to management and coordinate all this not just in one clan but in two. (For what it's worth, co-leaders can start wars, so at the very least they should also have a say in this.)
- Donations! Often times it's only a handful of players with the highest level troops that do the clan war donations, so in order to shorten the prep day these players would need to be available at the beginning and put in extra time (maybe even gems) in order to fill all war castles with high level troops in a short amount of time.
Just put the game aside for a while, go out with your buddies for a change or try to get yourself a girlfriend. Most people have real lives outside of the game, so it really shouldn't be that difficult to find things to do on prep day while you are waiting for battle day to start![]()
