New Newspaper - unwanted customers

I am having the same issues as everyone else with the 'stranger' buying up only expansion items and such. I am pretty sure it is a h-a-c-k tool. There was one in another game I used to play. It worked by downloading it on your device, entering your login info, and then setting it to get what you need example: you could maybe set it to find certain tools you need. It would then run in the background of the device and search through roadside shops in the game and buy anything on your list until you made it stop or set a certain amount. This DEFINITELY makes sense to me! SC just hasn't found out a way to bypass the tool, so they say it's someone you helped, a follower, etc... which it isn't. I'm not a computer person but I'm certainly not an idiot, and can see when a game has been h-a-c-k-ed by someone or something!

I have been saying the exact same thing here for days...but it appears that no one wants to hear that - or admit that we are right. It just continues happening, and they keep making excuses and ignoring us.

Its sickening - everyone is frustrated and angry and no one seems to care. I think - when everyone stops buying diamonds and the money flow stops they will realize that they made a huge mistake.

So another thing I have discovered in this newspaper mess, is that this BOT is also scooping ONLY the item that is advertised - which seems to stop all other sales.

I have tested this eight times - loading the SAME item in many slots - and BAM - ONLY the one that I advertise is gone - and the rest sit there with no more sales.

Funny - even putting JUICE in EIGHT slots - the ONE is sold - the other not touched.

The saga continues.

Wonder if those programmers have woken up yet? We were told almost 48 hours ago that they were "sleeping" and would be checking into the issues. How long do they sleep??

I sense a change in the force. I tested my shop again this afternoon and so far so good. I put a couple of expansion items for sale and they stayed for ten minutes (and counting.) Also, maybe it's just me but it seems like the newspaper reverted back or I have just seen an influx of a variety rather than just B&E. I was able to get a screw and a couple other rare items.


Nevermind. Spoke too soon. Tried to load up my shop for my friends and was able to get 2 stalls loaded before both items were gone by no-name.
Sorry, I was about to sell about ten rolls of duct tape and some deeds I've been hanging on to.

put up my normal crop stock and they stayed....added some parts and the reaction was instant in the manner of placing an ad in paper...unknowns grabbing almost everything in shop. No more selling parts or expansions I guess.

It happend to me also, got only 5 persons in my friendslist, know my followers by hard now, write down the farm's name who I help with trees, bushes or boats hehe yes I was addicted and organized. Not anymore, because it's no fun anymore, I think I will quit. Now it's much harder to find tools in harvest or feeding animals. Because you don't find them as frequently as I used too, I can't offer them to buy anymore and if I do to help those few friends, a completely stranger takes them.

I have the same issues. I dont "trade" with my friends unless we are all sitting together but still the last 2-3 times we lost our duct tapes and planks. its ridiculous because I've not changed my game style at all (and we always use the last slot and we never advertise) and this used to work. 5 secs and it was gone. how can that even be?

The behavior of the mystery shopper is not the same as if the item was advertised in the paper. The timing is too quick for it to have been shown in the newspaper and have someone come to your farm and buy the item given that the person would have to wait while your farm loaded. I counted 3 seconds after posting a wooden panel before it was purchased by the anonymous buyer. The response of supercell makes me suspicious that this is something that was purposely included in the last update possibly in a bid to get people to spend more diamonds replacing their items that are "stolen" before friends can purchase them or some sad person with too much time in their hands has decided to make a bot that "fetches" items they want from ur shop before they are fully processed so others can see them. My hubby and I play together and many times we sit beside one another and trade items. There is usually a delay of at least 5-10 seconds before the other person can even see the item in your shop when they are waiting for it. I have had items purchased by this mystery shopper that never even made it into my shop basically because my hubby never saw them. If it was included as a means to try and get people to spend more I would not expect supercell to admit to it, and if it was a ha ck I would not expect them to admit to it. Admission of either would mean a lot of very angry customers (and yes we are not just playing their game, we are financially supporting their company so they should treat us with respect as companies do their customers).

I maybe didn't make it clear enough. My point was that they are not strangers in terms of "out of the blue" since we don't have a farm/user search in Hay Day which would of course make it possible. They find your farm through something you have done in the game. It could be through the leader boards, it could be through their last helpers tab (even if it was a week ago, or longer, you helped them you could still be on their last helper tab), or then through some other actions you have done in the game. Like I said, we are looking into this, but for now we haven't found a "hole" on the game which would allow players to jump from farm to farm. Of course there's always a risk that there's some bug which would allow it somehow, and that's what we need to look into.

Connections with other farmers should always be 2 ways. If other people can see my farm, I should be able to see theirs. Right now it is possible to have followers without them showing up on the followers tab. You can be on another farmers help tab without you knowing also.

Get rid of the helpers tab and make it so all the followers show up correctly. I think something else is also going on but fixing those would help.

Every morning I hope SC has finally done what they are supposed to do, solve te problem.
So I start with a test.

Put up some saws and a ductape. Since the last update they used to be gone within a splitsecond to the anonymus potatohead (che atbot) No problem, they went to a neighbour after about 10 minutes.
Then I put up some landexp. material that, even after the last update I used to sell to real people, (neighbours or unknowns through an ad that was placed by HD without my consent)
This time che.atbot came for my exp.materials.

To be sure if I would be able to sell some barn/silo materials for sale savely today I put up another ductape, and.... splitsecond, there he was again.

This unpredictable behaviour will make it harder to find him, IF these programmers actually started to do a search....
Them waiting so long in solving the problem is good for my addiction: I'm loosing it

I think the ch eat is search like a Tom search. SO sometimes they search material , sometimes is cake etc ...

...That ghost buyer seems to be gone. Even if I wanted to I could not put these items for sale in the paper, because the ghost grabs them even before I have finished loading my stand.
