New Newspaper - unwanted customers

I have just realised that one person who is raiding my shop is called Yo this has been happening for several days. I thought they were a follower but I have now realised if they are they are not appearing on my follower tab. Perhaps that is the problem. They are a follower but they are not appearing on the tab.

I thought of that earlier...but the timing is WAY too good for that. No way that as SOON as we post, someone on our followers list is THERE to SNATCH it. Seems very "programmed" - which bring be back to believing its a C H E E T program of some sort.

Maybe I will WIN a prize for bringing that up days ago? LOL

It's actually gotten worse for me! My expansion items are going instantly to the gingerbread man along with animal feeds for base price.

Animal feed?? My finger barely leaves the put on sale button and it is gone, bought by a nameless gingerbread man.
I have stopped selling most anything. The game is no fun anymore.

I put a saw up and a neighbour got it thankfully, I've now filled stalls with wheat and a person has bought some with a name and face....it definitely seems like there's a ha.ck for premium items and the rest automatically go in the paper...

this game is a joke, it's one thing after another! Makes me wonder too, we are all higher end players, is it happening to lower levels as my neighbours down that side have some of their stalls filled?

I often feel like I see ads in the newspaper, that I have seen before. With exactly the same product, price and farm. Even if the product were bought last time the ad showed up. Even if I feel like I'm the first visitor, shop is already empty. Of course it could be a mistake to think that, but at least I used to see the product before and get a message that it was already bought.

Since almost nobody is selling anymore, thanks to the snatching potatohead, I have been searching the paper all day desperately for screws. And indeed, some ads seem to repeat. After reading your post I paid more attention and I'am almost certain that I have seen more then one ad more then once.
I have made screenshots but ofcourse that were the ads I did not see twice so no prove yet.

And i did NOT succeed in finding any screws, alle were gone already or were never there to begin with

Rizzy I actually put some screws up earlier and they were gone within a millisecond to the bandit. So sick of this. I have tons of premium goodies piling up in my barn, it's ridiculous but I refuse to sell them. If I have to stop playing then so be it.

What do you consider to be high end player? I'm level 53 and my shop has been raided by random people all day, but my hubby who is level 47 seems to be unaffected by the randoms only by the gingerbread man stealing premium stuff.

OK ... I have HIT my limit!

I was transferring goods from my second farm to main .. Several items went fine. I was being very quick. But ONE SECOND too late and lost 7 creams and two cakes! It was like someone was stalking and watching the goods being sold! The same 3 crates were used each time.

Now ♥♥♥♥♥♥cell ... Let it be known I have ploughed around $50 into my secondary farm and I certainly think that gives me the right to transfer my goods!

This game is OFFICIALLY no fun for me anymore!

So I dont usually advertise, and with 400+ friends, my stuff is usually bought and I know who buys its.

Main reason is that everyone I add (expect followers) is from the trading forum and if they take an item from my last slot, I unfriend them.

Since the new newspaper update in the past 24hrs, I keep getting either new customers buying things with out advertising, or its no longer posting my friends or followers info (name and pict).


After experimenting with another account, I am getting buyers coming to my stand with no friends or follows or advertisement... I think something is broken.

This is certainly a problem with me too!!

As we still haven't heard anything back from SC (still counting sheep?) I have been trying to exclude any factors that may or may not be relevant. First, the bandit never takes anything but building/expansion/mining items. I can put very cheap jam or juice or cake on sale unadvertised for just a few coins and then add a plank to the shop, again, unadvertised,and seconds later it is gone. I've been playing this game for a while and if I saw a jar of jam on sale at a friend's shop for 10 coins I would buy it! Why isn't the bandit buying it then? Second, it doesn't seem to matter which stall I put the target items, contrary to what was previously thought early in the investigation. Third, I just realized that if I go to the leader board and click any name it will ask if I want to visit that farm. I had no idea that it was so easy to access just anyones farm at any time. Obviously, if I post in the paper then I am willing to go public with my farm.
Still, even if strangers did have total access to my farm how likely is it that someone is just hovering around waiting for me to post a target item? The response is way to quick to be just someone randomly finding my farm at all hours of the day/night and have perfect Timing each and every time. Clearly this is not the work of one or two bandits to do without the aid of a theftbot. So, what is the plan? Do we stop all trading of the target items? Surely that would bring the game to a grinding halt. I have stopped putting the items in my store and now I have quite the stockpile of deeds, planks, etc... It's not really fair nor fun to hoard but I do not want to participate in aiding ♥♥♥♥ers.

What you're describing is exactly what I've been noticing. Only barn- and silo-expansion items, never jams, juices...and maybe not even land-expansion items. Mostly the buyers have avatars, though sometimes not. I have one follower without an avatar. I rationalize to make myself feel better when a gingerbread man buys my stuff that it's my follower, not a stranger.
