No Halloween Decor in update? Is this not the "Halloween update?

I think the halloween update will be released either the day of or at the same time as the event this week. No evidence -- just my gut feeling.

I agree with Perky. Give us a week's decorations (ho hum) with a halloween event. And i sure hope each prize in the event is a unique halloween item to appease all of us who are anxiously (not so much anymore) waiting for Halloween.

I think it's great that SC listens to their gamers and fixes things when they're truly off kilter like the original boats. However, please also listen to the positive voices. There are lots of people on here wanting the decorations and animal costumes and halloween theme released early in Oct, as evidenced by 11,000+ views of this thread. Many of us clamored for an earlier halloween release last year too...

Suggestion for next year: Oct 1 bring out the autumn theme with mist and ghost on lake (gosh, i miss that ghost chicken!) and make all halloween decs available for purchase. That gives those who want it lots of time to enjoy the decs and get pumped for the halloween event. Most importantly here, you give people time to spend $$ on those diamond decs. The holidays have got to be big $$ makers for game developers, why miss out on such a prime opportunity? The North American revenue for Halloween alone should make this a must-do event. Then, no later than Oct 15, bring out halloween theme with animal costumes and send out sneak peeks for halloween event and new halloween decs. And have the halloween event start one week before and end on halloween with a new cool Halloween prize. You can't please everyone but maybe this keeps time frames short enough for those who don't celebrate or like halloween on their animals and long enough for those of us who do.

I came back to the forum to find over 12,000 views of this thread. I'm glad to see so many voicing their opinions on this Halloween debate. I like others just waved my white flag in a show of surrender under the notion of "soon". So is it soon or is it later, there is no day on my calendar that says Soon. Must be a Finnish day lol!!! I'm just kidding 😉

Every day I log in hoping to find decor.... and am only greeted with disappointment. I just don't understand their reasoning.

On a brighter note my other game I play has Halloween in full swing. I bought freemium currency and went all out. There are vampires, witches, headless horsemen, and cemetary decorations adorning my beautiful game. Best part is the challenges are keeping me occupied so i dont have to spend much time in hayday feeling like the poor kid at the sweet shop window when looking at Greg's decorations. :/

I would have preferred to have it all on hay day but what can ya do... oh well.. happy Halloween everyone!! :-) I'm off so I can go back to earning my trick or treat children decoration as a grand prize!! :-)

Lol, sweets! I totally hear ya! My other game also has Halloween and is totally appeasing my need for trick and treats! I too bought freemium currency (which i normally never do - would have spent it in HD...oh well) and am having lots of fun decorating. Their month long event is so much fun and engrossing, the prizes unique and entertaining. Thank goodness for this or I would have given up on HD completely, esp after the autumn update with candles and no halloween. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed the halloween event wants candles...
