It's nice to see that so many of you agree with my simple 'fix' to try to please everyone (or as many people as possible) at the same time. Supercell do a great job of keeping this game interesting but they have got it badly wrong on this occasion. Even more worrying is, as someone said, there's no official notification from anyone. A vague brush off by Nick is hardly sufficient when they are looking to us to pay their salaries!

Have those of you who already have the decs from last Halloween got them out now anyway? I didn't start playing until Jan this year so I only have the coffin that popped up during the false Halloween last month. I refuse to put that out in splendid isolation though.
I'm thinking that if Hayday player numbers have risen exponentially this year, then probably the majority of players don't yet have any holiday decs.
Maybe we could all just stay on Greg's farm and enjoy his, like poor children with their noses pressed up against the sweet shop window!

I am quite a purist on the matter (and think that Halloween is a single night and special because of that) and have been grateful that it wasn't on hay day for all of October....but even I am waiting impatiently now! I was in the mood to buy decorations at the weekend. If it waits another week, I can't guarantee I'll still care. (Just some market feedback, not really complaining). Lady Dawn's post was spot on!

I was really hoping to wake up this morning and see Halloween. My last hope is going to be this evening when the riverboat event ends. If Halloween isn't released in 12 hrs when the riverboat event ends, I simply and just not going to go through the effort to make the room on my farm to decorate it. Rather, I will hoard as many decorations as I can (without spending diamonds - sorry SC, you lost out on that opportunity) for next year. That way, I will have the decorations available to decorate when I want next year. Yeah, much like you guys conveniently setup Greg's farm for Halloween despite not giving your players the same option.

This thread has over 8,000 views and people are still asking about the Halloween deco. But still no response from SC? I thought as others did that it would begin this AM, it has not. I guess the one thing I don't get the most is the non response. What's the big deal? Can't they just give a date, everything doesn't have to be a surprise or a party filled update. I don't know what to think, never seen this happen on any other farm games? Most games roll out all kinds of stuff you can purchase, what's up?
