Rate my trophy hunting base.

Please rate it. It may be the worst trophy hunting layout in existence, don't hesitate to tell me if it's that bad. This is probably the first trophy hunting base I have made since I was about TH6, and I have a trophy hunt starting tomorrow. Advice is needed, and if it won't sustain being at 2000 trophies at least, please tell me if I'd be better off creating a different layout altogether.

Good to hear, I just know I'm a massive weakness to dragons haha. It would be cool to wake up and see how many people skipped your base during the time you slept!!

As a townhall 8 I think you will be fine up to about 2200 trophies. If you have little resources it won't be all that worthwhile to dragon attack you. I was able to climb to 22-2300 range as a TH 8 while still leaving my TH outside. The cheap shield theory still holds and you MAY get a freebie if you're lucky. You won't be strong up there so you're only gaining trophies through offense anyway. Get as much as you can, get hopefully a cheap shield and lose only a few. When you have a long enough stretch, go at them again. Only difference from farming is that I drop the shield just to get in 1 or 2 battles cause I know I can gain back what I might lose in 1 raid. With the trophy hunt I don't drop the shield unless I know I can play for a few good hours at a time.

If you're planning to make your run with tier 1 troops then you should be ok with marginal elixir and gold. If you're planning on making tier 3 troops and lots of spells....good luck. You will get cruashed if you max out your storages to make your run.

Just as an update, I'm up in the 2000s now and it seems to be alright - a little difficult on the offence as I only have level 5 troops but I'm getting there. I still haven't resorted to using pekka but I've added 8 wizards into my army to place behind giants. I've won all 7 ground attacks which I'm very surprised of but got 3 starred by 10 level 3 dragons, which is not a surprise.
