So how are things lately?

I'm a level 72 and 35 days have passed since I hit TH8, in case you're asking how was i able to know, just add the TH8 upgrades that you have researched in your lab + 5 days (assuming that you immediately upgraded your lab).


I'm currently researching Dragon lvl 3, and so far I have 7 days to go til my fire-breathing lizards will wreak havoc


I have around 75/ 225 walls @ skulls


Currently trying to upgrade my defenses and walls and im expected to stay at TH8 for another 2-3 months, depending if supercell suddenly gives another 1-gem-bonus-week

here is my TH8 base screenie


I'm currently farming at Gold 2, boosting raxes and attacking non-stop gives me around 2.5M gold, though i dont know if this is high (or low) when it comes to fellow TH8'ers.

As of this writing these are my stats

• Gold Grab: 192871524
• Elixir Escapade: 167201970
• Heroic Heist: 110428
• Max trophies: 2038

During clan wars, my usual army consists of Giants + Wallbreakers + wizards, but it seems to lack the necessary punch to puncture through fellow TH8'ers, sometimes, i cant even 3-star maxx'ed-out TH7s, that is why im researching drags.

I'm a level 84 approaching the end of my th8 journey. Took me about 3 months, give or take a couple weeks. It was a great ride despite having its ups and downs, but now I'm preparing for the big jump to th9. The only thing holding me back from upgrading my th is 2 teslas (one currently upgrading) , 2 barracks, and a dark barrack. While I finish those up I will continue to grind out as many skulls as I can (currently at 99) and I'll try to keep my lab and king going with de.
In wars, I use gowipe. For farming, I use bam in gold 3- crystal 3

It serves me pretty well, but as every TH8 base, it's kinda weak against heroes. Thinking about running this up to Crystal 2, just to check the loot.

Yep that's what I noticed to Though I wouldn't say 'as every TH8 base' but more like 'especially as an open core base' because that's the experience I had with open core ones. Heroes have too much room and not having many compartments makes it even easier for them. But all in all, you're still right, heroes are a problem for us TH8's because of the lack of fire power against them. Best bet would be putting a cannon or archer tower in the core as counter measure against them (and teslas are always good once they're a bit higher^^)

I didn't specify on Noble River when I said that about the defense in the core, it was more in general^^ But you're right in this case it would be better not having a defense in the core

I might suggest working on your teslas now instead of later... They really do get powerful at level 6 help against heroes a lot. Level 3 teslas are a higher priority than lvl 8 walls at this point in your TH8 journey. Also, from lvl 3 to lvl 6 each tesla will take you 24 days to complete. Don't wait until the end to do these as they are the biggest time sink for buildings at TH8.
