game penalizes you more for having good defense then it does for being ♥♥♥♥

I am currently upgrading to TH9 finally after diligently putting in the work to max out my defenses. In preparation for my town hall upgrade I have been saving up my resources to max out my storages and earning the de to purchase the Archer Queen. I have been over the cap point for gold elixir and de for a few days now so as you can imagine I get raided immediately after I log off. What annoys me more than anything is getting raided by someone having them steal all my my available de and then still not getting a shield because they failed to get 50% ... most likely because they were only after the de in the first place. Then because I have not been given a shield another person comes and I lose that much more loot. It is ridiculous if you win a defense you get penalized by not being awarded a shield and you still need to pay to have your traps re-armed. Don't tell me to put my townhall outside of my walls that only promotes stupid th sniping and the times I have done it I end up getting raided anyway because who isn't going to go after 300k gold and elixir and 2000 de? This game can be so aggravating sometimes.

That's the way of the game, either put your town hall out or lose loot, winning is expensive.

Or how about when you go to sleep wake up and see 5 consecutive people who used 3 lightning spells on you DE storage them surrendered. Sure it's only about 300-800 Dark but over and over again? That is even worse

I've lost 18k de from lightning with 2.5 days once, and that's why I never go into gold league anymore.

You guys need to rank up in cups then Then you won't find any lightning dudes or people who fail your defence over and over again + if you have more cups, people will go for th much faster rather trying to crush your defence!

Yes this in particular is just absolutely aggravating. I will admit I carry lightning with me and use it on drills/ storages, but only at the end of my raids when I have already given the person a shield. Supercell really needs to do something about players who only drop lightning. Really my gripe is not about losing resources. If I get raided by someone who takes my resources fairly I am not bothered by it. I am more annoyed by the fact that there is no reward for winning defenses besides trophies, which I could personally care less about. It would be interesting to see how the game would change if looted resources were only awarded if a player earns a star. Or if a player loses they have to pay the cost of re-arming your traps.

Try to keep your de in very center of your base
keep your th outside most likey someone will snipe and even if they dont and go for
de they will have to get to core which should result in 40% and 40% or 42% will give you shield

Leave your town hall outside or move up in cups! If you move up in trophies people will just 3 star you and then you'll get your precious shield. Bombs and traps should always be bought back to promote more play time.

OR JUST LEAVE YOUR TH OUTSIDE!!!! This greatly increases your chance of a lower player who wants cups to just snipe it.

PROBLEM SOLVED!

ZAPPING IS PART OF THE GAME, GET USED TO IT!

If a th outside...does not matter...I want your loot. Since the hero change...many strong players...th 10 stay in gold league for this reason. I only need a few wall breakers archers and barbs to do it. Th 9 not a fun place. The xbows are nothing more then an archer tower when a th 10 sees it. This is where supercell gets you to spend money.
