Think about it.. If you fly over a bank with an airplane and bomb it the cash doesn't magically appear in your hands.. So why should lightning be any different?

From now on: if you lightning a DE storage you gain nothing. Yes, the owner still loses his DE, but since there is nothing to gain by lightning on DE he will eventually stop doing it. The DE just sinks back into the ground..

How about no, terrible idea. Would render lightning completely useless. I just got lightninged 4 times and they stole 1500 dark elix.... I say oh well, and move on. Stop whining about this stuff.

You'll notice that this particular topic comes up less and less often as the DE economy frees up. And that trend will continue. As more and more players upgrade their drills and DE flows more freely through the game, fewer and fewer players will be willing to sacrifice the cost of multiple lightnings for DE.

The short-term advice is to upgrade your drills. The long-term advice is just to wait. The issue will solve itself without intervention from SC.

Question for you

As lightning theft doesn't grant you a shield, naturally. What if you sustained 4 revenge attacks in a row before you logged back on resulting in nearly 5.5k DE, would you still say "oh well" and move on?

Also I don't think every post in this thread is a whine, perhaps a poor choice of words?

Yes I would move on, this is just a game.... Dark elixir is much easier to come by then it has been in the past. Fine not a whine, I will reclassify it as a fluff post.
