It was a rant on my thought process.. sorry for not summarising it nicely for you guys lol.
Same here.. when I started the game, i didn't know of the forum as well.
Even at th6, my town hall was still within my walls, because its seem like the most "natural" thing to do.
But after entering the forum was when I realise, why did I protect this chunky 4x4 building for ?...
I did prepare for the worst, attempted on hybrid bases, even tried 2 of them.
But the concept behind trophy hunting is basically:
1) Be very active and online as long as possible
2) Raid win more than loss in defense
3) Stay on shield as long as possible
Seriously puts me off.
I initially thought the idea of trophy hunting, atleast at 2k region, was that your base can atleast stand up to raids by TH9.
But oh hoho, was I wrong, terribly wrong.
Its not a matter of how good your base layout is.
Its not a matter of how good your defense level are.
What matters is basically just these 3 points again.
1) Be very active and online as long as possible
2) Raid win more than loss in defense
3) Stay on shield as long as possible
Its pointless. seriously.
Initially, my goal was to farm for resources as a none-gemmer, then move on to trophy hunting once my base is max out at th9.
But as shown above, the main "fun" for me actually lies in farming.
Anyway, I disagree that farmers are supercell's golden goose, gemmers are.
In fact, we are the opposite. We are the people who encourage people not to gem.
Supercell should really think about the consequence of asking more people to join the forums.
More people joining forums = more farmers = more uproar = more unhappy people.
-----
Anyway, shall take my leave on this level/xp/league/loot issue.
Seems like supercell made up their mind anyway.
Nothing we can do except to adapt.
----
Just raided this.
Certainly not something those "loot bonus" can compensate for.
