Depending if they level up air defense, mass dragons + heal potions = 3-stars most of the time, it's expensive which may be why you don't see it too often.

I only use Gowipe. Every single war, both of my attacks are gowipe. You can 3 star almost any th8, and 2 star most th9s if you're good with it

A well placed ballooninon attack can be as good or if not better than a mass dragon, and it's much cheaper!

Gowipe is strong and effective and it is an attack you can use all the way up the ladder. Start perfecting it at TH8 and you can can evolve it at TH9 and TH10. Not to mention I used to do better then the 3 people who sit above me in my clan when we warred. Now they Gowipe or Gowiwi, cuz they are tired of being out dine by the TH8 lol....whatever motivates my clanmates right? lol.....good luck out there

so most people prefer gowipe .. is it that effective at th8?? i see less people use it on th8 and whoever tries it gets a 2 star unless its a premature base .. my gowipe lvl is 151 though but hogs are lvl4 .. worth upping gowipe before loons and minions?

I used all three Hogs, GoWiPe and Mass Dragon troops during my TH8

if its against TH8, definately Mass Dragon

Early TH9 - early mid - TH9, it was hogs (only after L4)

mid TH9 - advanced TH9
GoWiPe, in hope of 1-2 stars
