    Unicorn and rider

    So basically, I spent hours thinking of troop ideas back before dark elixir was created. One of th emus thane troops I thought about was a unicorn. While I understand it doesn't follow suit with most other dark elixir troops in being "evil" it'd be a great troop to have. (valkyrie and golem are both "good" troops.) he appears at barracks 7 or 8

    Description:
    So, you know how you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink? A noble swordsman tested this theory only with dark elixir, now the horse he made drink grew a vicious horn about here head, which is not for impailing but simply for healing. He now rides into battle, swordsman on his back healing and dealing (damage).

    Statistics (for unicorn) level 1:

    Unless I'm missing something, this looks really weak. When designing stats, compare the stats to other similar units and from there, work out if it is too strong, too weak or just right. For example, let's compare the unicorn only to the healer. I'll compare it to a level 4 healer as because, assuming that the unicorn is available at TH10, that is the expected level of a healer.

    Stat Unicorn (level 1) Healer (level 4)
    Range 3 5
    Heal per second 15 71
    HP 622 1176
    Movement Speed 22 16
    Space 24 14
    Training Time 20 15

    I bolded the key stats. The healer is, by a large amount, way better than the unicorn. It's healing potential is almost quadruple, it has nearly double health and is cheaper and quicker to train. I would increase the healing to make it more significant, let's say to something like 40. It definitely needs more HP as well.

    Using the same logic, let's look at the swordsman. Seeing as it is ranged, I'm going to compare it to an archer with stats x 24.

    Stat Swordsman (level 1) Archer (level 6)
    Range 3 3.5
    DPS 14 528
    HP 622 1056
    Movement Speed 22 24
    Space 24 24
    Training Time 20 10

    Once again, you can see that its stats are very low. It needs to have much higher damage to have any influence in a raid.

    The concept is quite nice. I just think either I am missing something important, or the stats are very underwhelming.

    If you read the post, I compared it to the stats of a level 6 archer TIMES 24. That way, the housing space is the same and can be compared easily.

    maybe you're not understanding that the unicorn and the swordsman are one troop together? so it has to have an even mix, if they were separate troops

    Even so, there is no reason for me to spend 24 housing space on this over a healer and 14 archers. The healing and damage are both so insignificant, that it is not worth the space/cost to train it.

    Nsh, I would increase the healing/damage to something like a heal of 50 at level one and 100 DPS at level one.
