    You are the judge =

Lee — who asked that we not share his full name, or any specific details about his line of work — is a single, 42-year-old businessman from California. He says that his annual income is “in the six figures.”

Lee says that spending money on games like Clash of Clans is actually saving him money in the long-run: Before he started gaming, he says he and a small group of friends would go out drinking, sometimes spending as much as $6,000 in a single night between them.

Lee stopped spending money on drinking roughly around the same time that he began playing Happy Kingdom, a Facebook game, with some friends. It was the first videogame he’d ever liked, and he became enraptured. He wound up spending nearly $5,000 in that game before trading it for Clash of Clans, but says that’s far less than what he would have otherwise spent on alcohol.
It's all relative. Some people think $50 on movie and a dinner on a Friday is expensive. As long as they can meet their other financial obligations, what does it matter?

The OP has a point. Take the infamous "Greek sea people" for example. For these people it was a disgrace to work the land. They were warriors, and whatever they needed they would take from others. They would usually leave the farmers with just enough to live and grow more for future raiding. If they needed help around the house they would find slaves on the next raid. Need a girlfriend? Get one on the next raid. These people were NEVER mistaken for farmers.... They were looters, raiders, and plunderers, but never farmers....

Clan wars are great, it ranks the best, and puts their bases to the test.

Sir, if you want to continue to plague these forums with angry requests or wrong judgments (referring to your barbarian post) then you're more likely to get an agreeable answer by talking to a brick wall.

    Good day.

And when you are level 74 and 1500 they tell that you must stop farming while I never use barbarians ( so farming seems to have no link with the troops you use ) and lose not on purpose but because I attack for gold and elixir and so do not win as often as I could if I was playing to kill 50 % with the same army.

We all have our idea of what farming is, and I suppose, like others, I have my idea about it too, and one things for sure, it means something, but I strongly disagree with the notion that its meaning is a product of what we want it to mean, for even though it clearly has roots in its lexical usage, we are using it in a specialized manner specific to this game. The problem is that it hasn't been specifically stipulated, so an analysis of how its used is in order to get a better understanding and specificity to this term that is somewhat vague (but not necessarily ambiguous).

One clear goal that many players adopt is to reach a higher trophy count than any other. They may have other ambitions, and they may have even come to terms with the possibility that they'll never come out on top, but for many players, their focus is neverthess on getting their trophy count as high as they possibly can. These people can be thought of as trophy hunters.

There are others that realize that going for trophies above all else is overwhelmingly difficult in a game where a very high trophy count is futile without a base with substantial upgrades--upgrades that require a lot of time and resources. Farmers have made a strategic decision to ease off the throttle in pursuit of having more trophies than any other. They realize that their time and resources will be better spent not focusing on trophies (like trophy hunters) but rather focusing on resources (like farmers).

We often hear about people dropping their trophy count to farm, but I am not of the opinion that dropping in trophies is therefore a part of what should be the definition (even if it's often the case that many drop their trophy count to farm), for people that never drive up their trophies can be farmers without ever intentionally driving their trophy count down.

A person that raids can be a farmer or trophy hunter, so that one raids and receives resources hasn't much to do with whether one is a farmer or not, and remember, even trophy hunters avail themselves of the fruits of their mines and elixir making machines.

I would submit that to say of a player in this game that he or she is a farmer has much more to do with their strategic plan than it does with what the word happens to mean outside of this game. If you place a higher priority on gaining trophies than you do on gathering resources, then I think you would be better characterized as a trophy hunter, and if you place a higher priority on collecting resources and upgrading than you do on your trophy count, then you are what I think would rightly be called a farmer.

Anyhow, that's my two and half cents on the issue.

Your collectors grow the crops in my fields. I come by and reap them. Farming. Has nothing to do with is ply losing to ha e a lower score, merely the act of solely attacking resources and disregarding everything else, whether its a 1 star, 2 star or 3 star. But in fact we do salute you Mr Clash of Clans Forum Warrior. Thnx Dahimi.

You really should get a life if you get upset at people using the word farming wrong.

Why don't you go cry about it some more.
