You can't avoid TH9 anyway.

After you got everything maxed out, there's no other way to go.
Loot multiplier is just a method to create balance between players.

But thanks to cry babies like you, some have quitted the game (I know), we TH9 get tons of abandoned bases that give somewhat decent loots.

I'm pretty sure supercell know that farmers gem too, albeit not as much as the top players. I agree the update ruined the fun of farming at TH9. Not there it isn't fun anymore, just not the kinda fun one would have at a maxed TH8. My advise is have fun at TH8 and max out everything, including walls. After that, if you never plan to go up the leader boards, stay at TH8 and just have fun raiding. Its actually quite nice ... you get almost all the units at TH8 (both normal and dark troops).

At TH9, Over time you get used to it, but you're basically getting used to less fun. Its gets quite depressing. Don't quit. Hang in there. You will need to get used to slowing down, playing less. Its still a pretty decent game ...the frustration is due to the fact that no one expects less fun on upgrading. Understandeable right?

If you're very competitive, you may rage quit cos you'll hate the pace. The reality is the mine/pumps loots had become irrelevant at TH7 when upgrades reach the millions. But then at TH7 and TH8 you can raid the needed cash. At TH9, raiding borders on the same kind irrelevancy. You have too much to upgrade and too much penalty on raids. You can never match up with other TH9 who made it there before you from a time they farmed without penalties. And after the last update, its even worse. So its either we play REEAL slow ... and throw out any level of competitive spirit we had, or we GEM. Anyone saying otherwise doesn't get it. That's ok. Everyone has their own pace and level of competitiveness in them.

However, I would like to remind you something.

So a 16 yo guy you must have some ... Schooling experience, right?
Try to Recall what you should do at school beside hanging with gals or maybe boys...
You have to get to know your syllabus, know where your classroom is, know how to do well and get a pass in the exam.

Right?

You are never expected to be paying the teacher for shortcuts or a A grade.

Gem is like tutorial school, which the Asians love so much. It brings you to a higher level in an effective way. But still, you still have to know what you ought to know, what your syllabus wants you to know. The tutorial school doesn't input knowledge to your brain directly, so do the gems.

With or without shortcut, you still got to figure out the formula in Clash of Clans, and any other games, jobs, life, everything!

I think any reasonable man can figure out about loot penalty when he was in TH6 looting a TH3. Prette easy and obvious. Everyone with reasonable looting experience can figure out this, I swear. But why can't you, huh?

I am just a non-gemmer, started from Feb and TH8 right now. I maxed TH7 before going to TH8 (well, except the hero, except the DE stuff) and I am having happy loot everyday since TH3. Why don't you, huh?

Com'on mate don't be a cry baby (by observation, you are definitely a cry baby). Asking SC to 'fix' this fair setting is ridiculous. You can always imagine that the earth, the sun and the universe turn around you, but sometimes you gotta realise and accept the truth.

You need to raise your trophies, 1600 isn't enough you have to go to the 2000s for the good loot at TH9

Dude what you are experiencing is exactly what happened to me too.
I cried out bad lol! i was making crazy loot in level 8 then when i upgraded to TH9 i was seeing town halls with even less than 1000 resources in total.
Listen this my advice well. It will bring you almost back in old days...
Increase your trophy.. This is the key to go back in old days.

I have been on th9 for a week now, and I must admit for the 1st five days i was regretting it alot. Now though I realise its a massive change and you do need to adjust your attack strategies especially if your only used to farming lower levels etc. enjoying the new stuff to build and upgrade and yes it is quite a struggle atm mainly because I feel I am disadvantaged only having lvl5 troops. But it's still enjoyable and its getting easier with practice.
