ALERT: Don't upgrade TownHall to Level 9! Big Mistake!

What I don't understand however, is why there is no option to reset the game or even downgrade your TH and the buildings/upgrades that came with the TH upgrade. There is no reason to keep punishing this guy. Supercell has made their money, and this player obviously has an interest in the game as he took the time to register on the forums and post about the problem he is now encountering. If there was an option to downgrade your TH a few levels, he could most likely drop to TH 6 or 7 and be fine. Why can't this option be added so that both parties can win?

The option to downgrade buildings might look the solution for this.. And it actually might be.

But you are not thinking of the consequences of downgrading something. Its not that simple to implement that simply because buildings depends on much things like other buildings, upgrades.

If you gave that option.. People would come to forums whining they had downgraded and lost their building or upgrade, their time spent and the resources.. And they would have to spend them all over again.

Just as people are missinformed today when they go up to TH9, they would be when downgrading.

Downgrading isnt the best solution as it would bring MUCH more whining and problems to the game as if we didnt have enough nowadays.

why downgrade? lol just reset the game its not even hard to do, people just go like "oh its not possible, theres no restart button in the game" of cause its possible lol go delete clash of clans, remove the data from the game center and install it again (or use a new game center when installing again) and boom you're back to th1

it does, but if you haven't maxed out your th8 then you will probably have a tough time the first weeks (maybe even months?) at th9

Rule number 1 is max upgrade everything first before upgrading your town hall. Don't rush.

Biggest mistake I've ever made on Clash Of Clans!

Okay, so I spent $25 on clash of clans 12 days ago. Half of the gems went to the money for TownHall because I didn't feel like farming 4mill gold, because that would take a couple days. The other half of the gems went to finishing the wait time on my lvl 6 mortars. When my TownHall finally upgraded to level 9 I was so excited! I was ready to start farming again...But, oh no. I've already spent 200k gold trying to find a base to farm off of and still haven't found anything! All of the bases only had 10-80k, barely enough to cover the troop cost! I've tried farming with these following trophy levels; 1200-1300, 1300-1400, 1400-1600, nothing is working!!! As a fellow clash of clanner, I demand SuperCell to fix this! I've almost spent $100 total on this game! People say that trophy hunters buy gems and farmers don't... WRONG! I am a farmer and I buy gems still! But if SuperCell is going to ruin farming then I will no longer buy gems. That will cost Hundreds of dollars if I were to buy gems at this rate, possibly even thousands, which ain't going to happen bros (SuperCell), not in your wildest dreams. So, you have one very disappointed customer right now and possibly several others. I warn all of you to upgrade as much as you can with a level 8 TownHall, because from there, it all goes down hill guys. I wish I never bought the gems to upgrade TownHall to level 9 now.

This is an Example of how awesome it was when I had a level 8 TownHall... Ugh... The good old days

I hope none of you upgrade your TownHall to level 9 to early! Don't let SuperCell ruin the fun from the game for you! I am never spending another dollar on this game until they bring back possible loot to steal percentages up.

People like you bro really ♥♥♥♥ me off. I donate to them and gem up to TownHall. Who the heck cares??? I am helping them and they do this to everyone who plays clash of clans in return including me? This isn't just about me. You said it yourself, this has been discussed many times, yet SuperCell does nothing about it. So yes I am blaming SuperCell bro. And I am sure everyone else does too except for you, who probably hasn't ever donated to SuperCell before. Therefore your opinion doesn't matter to me. I never knew this topic was discussed so much. But I wanted to make a difference and get this issue solved for everyone including myself. Some of you think this is all about me. Well, its not. Its about everyone who was excited to get a level 9 TownHall and was depressed with what the outcome was. People like this kid who left this quote, please don't make any comments to this post. You just ♥♥♥♥ me and everyone else off who actually donated or didn't donate but still got a level 9 TownHall. I blame SuperCell and I guarantee you that everyone who upgraded to a level 9 TownHall thinks the same thing. Some people may get lucky and find okay raids but I never can find anything good and pretty much everyone else can't find anything good either. This is most certainly SuperCells fault and I want them to fix loot penalties ASAP.

I would have, if I knew what happens at level 9 TownHall. If I could downgrade to level 7 TownHall, I promise you I would do it in a heart beat.

You can't avoid TH9 anyway.

After you got everything maxed out, there's no other way to go.
Loot multiplier is just a method to create balance between players.

But thanks to cry babies like you, some have quitted the game (I know), we TH9 get tons of abandoned bases that give somewhat decent loots.

So just quit. We don't need you here
