You have to get used to it. When I first started I though 75,000 gold for walls was crazy and op but when you level up and grow it eventually becomes easy, it just takes some time.

Remember that if they lower the price of walls you'll be seeing tougher bases. You can upgrade walls with elixir past level 6 anyway, so they're effectively twice as cheap as they used to be.
Well, they already made walls 2x easier because of the elixir thing which made a lot of people mad... I wonder how much despair would be unleashed when walls are even more cheaper.

i am a town hall 8. not too far into town hall 8. came from a maxed town hall 7. i have 71 level 8 walls done already.. (500k a pop.) and what i do is. i have 4 builders.. they are semi spread apart. they are constantly upgrading something. i fill my gold and elixir storages in between upgrades.. when i have done so.. builder frees up.. i dump 5,500,000 elixir into my walls.. and however much gold i can and leave enough to start my next upgrade.. and this process works very well. my walls are getting done.. i average around 15 walls in between upgrades.... walls seem hard until you figure out a method that works. i use to wait until everything was maxed and than do walls.. but ive found as they get more expensive its best to get what you can done as you go
