Clan name: TheMingeDynasty
Here's what we'd like in new members (in no particular order):

1. Be over 18 years old. Us "talkers" are early 30s-40s
2. This is kind of related to number 1-- We'd like members who maybe have
other things going on in their lives besides clash of clans. We play the
game every day, just not every minute of every day.
3. English speakers are preferable only because it'll make communication
within the clan easier (obviously).
4. Sense of humor. We don't use bad words for the sake of using them, but
they've been known to appear in the chat. So if you are easily offended,
we probably aren't for you. Our clan name is "TheMingeDynasty" after
all.
5. LOYALTY. We want to build a strong clan and we feel like the best way to
do that is with a solid core of loyal members. Our approach is probably
more laid back than most clans but that doesn't mean we don't care
about winning or about someday becoming the best clan ever in the
history of COC.
6. As a general rule, try to keep your troop donation/troops received ratio
even. It'll never be exactly even and that's fine but if you consistently
take more than you give, it'll become a problem.

We will NOT give you Co or Elder if you join. In fact we will not give you anything just because you join with us. We're generous with our donations towards members who donate as well.

So to sum it all up, we couldn't care less about the number of trophies you have or what level troops you're able to donate. As long as you're relatively active and consistently trying to upgrade your stuff, you participate in clan wars (when we get to that point), you don't take yourself too seriously, and you don't demand titles in exchange for you simply joining our clan, then you're the type of person we want. If you think we could be the right fit for you but you aren't sure, join (anyone can join) and ask us questions or read our chat and get a feel for what we're like.
The leader and co-leader do have an ulterior motive for becoming a powerful clan. We can't reveal it here but if you join you'll find out.....it's pretty awesome though so you should join TheMingeDynasty
