Freeze does no damage, but it allows for your troops to waltz right into your hard defended base unattacked (remotely speaking, there are still possible defenders but to a limited amount).
Would you also say that CC troop removal by Lightning spells is also unfair?
Or destroying Mortars or Air Defenses by Lightning is too? By that justification, Lightning, literally the first spell in the game, is OP...

Exactly, you still have to send in troops to do the damage. No one swings by and drops freeze and nothing else.

Not my point....You said Lightning couldn't be countered, and i was adding to the fact that Freezes also cannot be countered. Lightning deals damage, yes. Spells cannot be countered, correct again, its the nature of spells. By the correctness of both those points, Lightnings should stay exactly where they are. Un-defendable like any other spell.


Everything comes at a cost, We the Zappers take x-amount of time to build lightnings and 60K+ Elixir. we drop lightnings without sniping, we lose cups. You get DE taken, but you get Trophies in return. We Snipe your TH, you get a free 12 hour shield. Both instances give a chance for you to revenge to recoup what you loss.

Right now, 7 lightning only attacks. I have my th outside, so at least 3 of the had the courtesy to take out the th. I lost about 4k dark to these Lowlife's, and it is just annoying. I can respect someone who comes in and takes 2k or more in an actual raid, that is a player, someone who is working the game. I just find lightning attacks to be a cheesy and cowardly way to annoy players with integrity.

Try placing your TH inside.
If you place your TH outside, I zap you and I destroy your TH (win-win for me)
If you are in a high enough league where cups are important, they will zap you with the risk of losing.

Sooooo by that logic, dropping healers that deal no damage, shouldn't be considered an attack and in that sense it shouldn't have a counter?

Lightning Spells have a variety of uses. People just use em in different ways. I've used them to take out Mortars and Air Defenses. Its the same principle, taking out the biggest threat without countering, just a different target.

Although this idea is not ruled out currently, a simple search of the terms "anti-zapping" "Lightning DE" etc will result in literally thousands of threads just like yours. Of whom all are saying that Zapping doesn't need a nerf and that raiding and a higher league will stop zapping altogether. Also they add that a revenge will help reclaim some if not most of the DE lost in a zapping

Sitting between crystal 2-1 and my dark gets zapped all the time by TH08s to TH10's.
Mostly Th08's but not always.
Your theory use to hold water but not anymore.
And revenge you say?
The second a TH08 logs off at Crystal 1 it gets attacked. You will never see that dark again.

each one ends the same way, yours will be no different.

the OP is 100% right, and anyone trying to claim that lit zapping is a "legitimate" strategy is a whiney brat that should learn how to attack bases.

To the op: This forum has a ton of whiney brats, so expect to get flamed if you threaten to take away their only ♥♥♥♥♥ they know of to grab DE. I even suggested that they keep their lit attacks but get rid of the loot penalty in revenges so that they can be counter attacked, and even THAT resulted in tears and temper tantrums. So not only do they want to be able to steal your DE with no way to stop them, they also want to be protected WHILE they do it!

Coward seems a bit harsh here, but I'm having a hard time thinking of a better word.l

No. we need lighting on DE.

My village has been raided just for DE by lightning spell. O.K. I cant revenge since the attacker does not have anything ( ignore the revenge ) let's clash on.

almost MAX TH10 attacks my village (TH9) and I cant revenge . what i DO ?! 4 lightning spell on 3000 DE .
