Its a game where I pit my forces against your forces to determine a victor, in the process SuperCell is trying to make money. It is exactly what the game was created for. Now what the players have made of it since then is NORMALLY beyond the creators intent.

I have been a part of Beta Testing games a few times, and what the DEVs wanted and what the Players eventually did was not often the same.

Well hopfully I find your base this weekend, was a TH4 and went to crystal for my forth builder, and now a new th7 and hoping to get to master's for my fifth builder.

I can't tell if you're still in character from your other thread, but in the real world, businesses are out to make money.
Yes, the likely also want to create a fun experience for other people and their PR stuff will all tout how they do this, but a business sole purpose for existence is to make money.

Players will certainly play or use the product in unexpected ways which may or may not be good for the company, but the intent is still to make money and that does not change.

People playing within the rules of the game (and not trying to use "fluffy bunnies" to go outside of it) are playing it correctly, no matter how they choose to do it.

If you want to play it in character and treat the fluff as sacrosanct, that is really awesome.
...but not everyone plays that way and they are just as "right" as you.

For me, the game is an strategic (and tactical) exercise. It makes strategic sense for me to mitigate attacks against me by boosting my chances of getting a shield. It also makes strategic sense for me to adjust my trophy count to find and protect loot....

I like it when people snipe my th but I hate it when they snipe it THEN raid for my loot. I have to prevent it by putting my elixir storages out only when I have excess elixir as it is an offering to them.

It's basically like a symbiotic relationship...TH sniper gets free trophies, u get free shield!

I agree - the reason people put the TH out is to get off the attack list as quick as possible, trapping the TH is pointless IMO if you zap my TH2 troops I lose cups, you don't get a shield and the guy behind me GoWiPes you (poetic justice)
