Have some sort of lightning rod that comes up when a lightning strike hits. It will have a range like any other defense weapon and if a lightning strike hits in that area then it will absorb the/some damage. I hate when guys come in and just lightning strike my dark elixir storage, and there is nothing I can do to prevent it.
I feel you. Having those town hall 7's wanting their barb king lightning striking my storage is pretty annoying. But they're just doing what they gotta do. Good idea, but I think it would make lightning spells pretty useless. I think it would be more annoying for the attacker to lightning a dark elixir storage and then have a Lightning rod come up and waste their elixir and half an hour of their time. Peace
