Getting Daek Elixir and the Barbarian King as a TH7!!!

I got the Barbarian King within 2 days by only using 2 Lightning Spells (Because I don't have Spell Factory at level 3) and attacked people with exposed storages and drills with Archer-Barbarians. I found a lot of people with 700-1200 Dark Elixir at 1500 trophies. When I had 8k Dark Elixir I was lucky enough to find a guy with 2k Dark Elixir and I got it all.

I 3 lightning revenged about 3 people for a total of 2000ish DE.

Then I took my 450gems from the 1250 trophy reward and the other gems I had from removing shrubs and ♥♥♥♥ and got the rest of the DE that way to get the BK.

Now I'm back to just my normal attacking/revenging.

Farming for dark elixir is easy if you know what you're doing.

I'm at TH7 and my barb king and minions are both level two.

Use a farming strategy, to get to the core, but save one troop. It can be one gob, barb, wallbreaker, whatever...the point is to keep one, because if all of your troops get killed, you can not use spells.

If your troops don't get the dark elixir, that is when you use three lightning spells.

Always look at your revenges for opportunities to raid dark elixir, because they can not revenge you back.

2 racks gob, one rack archer, one rack giant, mass gob anyone with lots of DE.
Pick off exposed TH's anytime you see them.
When someone in your revenge list has has lots of DE, 3x lightning them.

In one week? Nearly all of my searchers I haven't found dark elixir storage with more than 500 dark elixir lol. I just had to gem my barb king.

There are bases with DE for stealing at all trophy ranges. However at 1,100 to 1,400 I was only seeing 500+ DE bases every 10 or 20 searches at best. Even then they were a bit too hard to take.

Yep But You Find it more often at 1400 trophy range.

My strategy was, if they had over 2k DE then it was probably a tough base. For them I would snip the Town Hall (most are outside) and drop 3 x lightning spells. Also check to see where their DE pumps are. Most of the time these are easy pickings. Then quit and save the troops.

Otherwise I'd use my normal 4 star farming troops to smash and grab the DE storage.


You have to make a decision though. If you're going for DE then you're going for DE. Focus on nothing else other than the DE storage. Blow your whole army if you have to. Due to this it's best to have a few hundred thousand elixir for troop rebuilds in reserves.

Only Protect Your DE storage!

I'm TH7 and have BK to level 5 and minions to level 2. Will probably also do the hog riders before moving up.

WoW! And Yeah If You are going to DE hunt only excessively protect your DE!

I got this after about 2 days of grinding in the 1250-1350 range. Many many people have 400-500 DE in stores and you don't need to drop lightning for most of them. Occasionally you will run accross people with 1k+ DE

I tried so hard, then got to 5k.. Casually went for a raid and found a 5240 DE attack! Now i have a king to live in my village!

I waited until Town Hall 7 to get the Sweet Victory achievement. I saved up around 2,500 Dark Elixir and gemmed the rest for free.
