Having gotten rather annoyed by the difficulty in designing a good siege base once everything is built the following changes are suggested:
Walls: Increase to 300 Pieces Max
Cannons: Increase to 8 Max
Archer Towers: Increase to 8 Max
Mortars: Increase to 4 Max
Giant Bombs: Increase to 6 Max
XBows: Increase to 4 Max
Just these modifications to the existing limits would allow for a stronger defense without having any 'weak sides'. Most of the bases in game have . . . well, bizarre shapes is the cleanest way I could put it, and I freely admit to being no good at duplicating those 'prefab' designs. I'd rather spend my time raiding for the loot than having to shuffle everything around every other day as weaknesses are exposed.
Now for the Loot:
This is easy enough, I think. There are plenty of dead, abandoned bases that Supercell can 'annex' across all Town Hall levels. It wouldn't take much -a copy and paste on the off-chance the owner comes back- to have these ghosts completely full of resources after a shield, which would make a lot of people happy and not eat up a ton of room on the servers nor require any changes to the Loot Tables. And by completely full I mean Storages and Collectors.
Alongside that it keeps the game's 'first come, first serve' motif so if people miss out on finding a ghost base . . . well, too bad for them, they need to raid more.
