So then what would be the point in trophies? Trophies add a sense of competition and drive for players to want to advance to the higher leagues. Matchmaking would get very dull if you only could attack players of the same TH as you would get absolutely no more and no less enjoyment from seeing the same defenses and layouts raiding every day
