...train for war? What I mean I always try to find different way to attack during wars, but sometimes is very expensive to try your troops. I would love to create a fake base that I would attack with my level troops to see how things would work and to get used to new spells and troops. Find the perfect time and spot to use them.

People train for a marathon or a sport event, I don't see why we couldn't do the same here.

NO rewards of course, but also, everything free of elixir, dark elixir and training time for your troops. Just create a fake opponent base, with wathever level defences, walls and opponent cc troops, and go for it.

I think the game would become more interesting. Any thoughts?

I like it, then I could make a base the exact same as my clan war opponent and just keep practising on it until I figure out how to win.

No you don't know where the bombs, teslas, giant bombs and traps are. It is still time consuming, creating the base and trying your attacks. And yes you can try and copy your opponent base and attack it until you get it perfect.

It is called training . All blacks train for their games, soccer team train for their games, a runner train for the marathon, even though they roughly know who their opponents are. There is also the day of the performance: if you wrong because under pressure you are not going to get 3 stars anyway

In clash of clans it's not called training it's called ghosting and it is one of the biggest problems facing our game right now. My first response was sarcasm this is a terrible idea.

Exploitable easily. Also, there is a method to train, its called trophy pushing. If you could similate your opponents base aside from traps (which doesn't make that big a difference against certain armies) then what makes it different from ghosting.
The only training/skill improvement that should be in this game is regular raiding, not practicing on the same base until you get it right. Nothing comes free. with an improvement of your skill should come a cost in resources, how efficient that is depends on yourself

Sorry mate, I am new to clash of clans and the forum. Why is it called ghosting? I don't really understand what is wrong with that and why is one of the biggest problems?

Ghosting is a bug in the game where if someone intentionally disconnects from the server by entering airplane mode or shutting off their mobile data, they can still launch their attack but not have it record on the games' server
