Okay, so I've been giving some thought into this, and, while its still just an idea, I've compiled a few suggestions on what I believe would improve the game. First of all, I find it quite bland that our hero's abilities are to simply manifest a handful of units, the likes of which we are accustomed to seeing (ie. The barbarians / archers.) Now I'm in complete concurrence with those who might be saying, "Well obviously, it's the Barbarian King and Archer Queen." And to that, I respond by posing the question, did the Greeks only fight along side with other Greeks? Or were great leaders not of different descents than their followers? But I digress. What I'm trying to illustrate for my fellow clashers, is the idea of a hero ability which spawns not mere barbarians or archers, but possibly a companion of sorts. This could pave way for a new laboratory-esque building (I was thinking The Bestiary), or named accordingly. Here's what I am contemplating:
First of all, each hero may use ONLY ONE ability per attack!
For the Barbarian King (once level 15 is reached)
- New Hero Ability - Summon War Hound!
- "The mighty Barbarian King releases a great battle cry to which a ferocious, blood-thirsty war hound answers to help devastate rival villages!"
- War Hound Traits
- Hit Points: 500
- Damage Per Second: ~20-25
- Favorite Target: Defenses
- Passive ability: Can jump over walls
- Training and Leveling Tier (this is where my idea for the Bestiary comes into effect)
- Level 1: Aforementioned traits
- Level 2: 15,000 Dark Elixir and 24 hour upgrade time; n% increase in HP and n% increase in DPS (**BARBARIAN KING MUST BE LEVEL 20 TO UNLOCK**)
- Level 3: 20,000 Dark Elixir and 1.5 day; n% increase in HP and n% increase in DPS (**BARBARIAN KING MUST BE LEVEL 25 TO UNLOCK**)
- Levels 4-5: Same concept as levels 1-3; King must be 30 and 35, respectively.
- Level 6 (highest): Same concept as other levels, including King at level 40, but, here's the catch: at level 6, the Barbarian King summons 2 War Hounds, each with 60% of the hit points and DPS as level 5 hounds (ie. if level 5 hound does 60 DPS and has 600 HP, the level 6 hounds will 36 DPS and have 360 HP)
For the Archer Queen (once level 15 is reached)
- New Hero Ability - Summon Ancestral Owl!
- "The Archer Queen looks to skies and signals for her faithful owl, passed down to her for generations, to aid her in defeating the enemy!
- Ancestral Owl Traits
- Hit Points: 250
- Damage Per Second: ~15-20
- Favorite Target: Whatever the Archer Queen is Focused on
- Passive Ability: For every 2 hit points the owl loses, the Archer Queen gains 1 Hit point (ie. if the owl is damaged for 40 hit points, the Queen regains 20)
- Training and Leveling Tier
- Level 1: Aforementioned traits
- Level 2: 15,000 Dark Elixir and 24 hour upgrade; n% increase in HP and DPS (**ARCHER QUEEN MUST BE LEVEL 20 TO UNLOCK**)
- Level 3-5: Similar percentage, time, cost and hero level as for the War Hound
- Level 6 (highest): At level 6, once killed, the Ancestral Owl uses her might to heal the Archer Queen for 50% of her [the owl's] hit points, and the remaining 50% is unleashed into a ring of healing (similar to the effects of a healing spell) (ie. if the Owl has say 600 HP at level 6, the Archer Queen would regain 300 HP, and a healing spell would dispense 300 HP to units within its range.)
New Building Idea: The Bestiary (Cost: 25,000 Elixir and 24 Hour Building Time)
- "Within the Bestiary lies the secrets known only to those who have an uncanny ability to connect with animals. Inside these walls, your hero's summoned battle companions are put through rigorous training to turn them from untamed beasts, into loyal, ferocious pets.s
- the primary function of the Bestiary would be to upgrade the summoned units. As your hero's level increases, the new upgrades for them become available (ie. Once you have a level 15 King or Queen, the Bestiary is available to build. Once King/Queen get to the appropriate level, the respective upgrade for the Hound/Owl become available).
- The Bestiary would not need to be upgraded itself; upgrades are dependent upon the level of your Heroes.
Well my fellow clasher, these are just the beginnings of what I have in mind for some moderate changes to be made to the game. I would love, and appreciate, any and all suggestions, and or questions.
Happy clashing everyone,
-Alex (aka Big Al of Walt White)
