Description: This Spirit Monk born out of dark elixir guards your army, and turns enemy defensive attacks into projectiles under his control. Once enough are accumulated he then sends them back at the enemy!
Appearance: Bald male with long black pony-tail and a long chin beard, violet colored skin, and glowing white eyes. Wears golden wrist bands, and white shaolin monk styled pants, with golden sandals and a golden belt. Upper Torso is bare, and hands are free.
***The way I picture this unit is that it would automatically follow any other units you have on the map, the same way that a healer follows your ground troops (doesn't follow air units though). The Shadow Monk default attack would be a small blue fire ball that only hits a single target, essentially making the unit fight like an overly priced high hit point archer.
However, around the Shadow Monk will be an area of effect (about the same size as a tesla attack zone), such that whenever an enemy defensive structure fires against any of your troops within it's vicinity, that projectile will not make contact with your troops, and will instead manifest as a hovering blue fireball beside the Shadow Monk. (This process takes 2 seconds, meaning one Shadow Monk cannot stop all of the defensive attacks fired into its area of effect, it can only stop one attack every 2 seconds)
Once this process is engaged the unit can no longer use its default attack, until this new "counter defense" phase has ended. The unit will redirect and accumulate up to 5 enemy projectiles one at a time, and then will launch them one by one in place of it's default attack at whatever enemy it would have normally attacked, and deal whatever damage the projectile would do. (Note that even though up to 5 counters can be accumulated at lvl.1, no more than 3 will ever appear visibly around the unit, there is no difference in appearance between these hovering blue fireballs, when fired they appear double the size of the default attack, the damage each inflicts will be dealt out in the same order they were accumulated, and each will have the area splash effect upon contact).
Also, if the Shadow Monk accumulates less than the maximum amount of counters it is able to (depending on lvl), and all nearby defenses are destroyed before a final counter can be acquired, there will be a 6 second wait period before all acquired counters are fired, during which the Shadow Monk will continue to follow your units around and wait to catch another. If the Shadow Monk is killed before it can fire any of its counters, however many it has accumulated will die with it.
Additionally, if all of your other units have been destroyed the Shadow Monk will continue to attack on it's own, and a group of them together would be able to stop most if not all defensive attacks thrown at them, making it a formidable troop type.
Weaknesses: if all enemy defensive structures are destroyed, the Shadow Monk's default attack doesn't deal enough damage on it's own to take out the rest of the base before the timer runs out.
If your other units on the map happen to be hog riders, or are just placed very far away, the Shadow Monk will have to fight through walls to get to them, which if its stuck using its default attack could take a long time; and while separated from your other ground troops it will by-pass attacking all enemy structures until it regroups with them (except for walls in it's way of coarse)
All bombs and big bombs do double damage to this troop and it's vunerable to spring traps.
It can only counter inferno towers set to the projectile attack, not the ones that use the stream attack.
It cannot counter anti air defenses.
***I think that about sums up the idea.
