So I'm not going to post a full thread, but what about a trap that purely focuses on attacks heroes? This new trap springs up from the ground trapping the hero. The hero must break free from the cage by attacking it. The trap is technically a building once activated, as troops will attack it to speed up the break time. CC castle troops will also attack the cage. Level one is a standard cage with iron bars and a wooden cap and floor. Level 2 starts to deal damage to the troop who deals melee damage to it. The cage then is spiked, and has increased hit points. Level three is spiked again with more damage and hit points. Level four has electricity travelling through the bars dealing even MORE damage, an level 5 is the same with more, y'know now.
Pros:
+Gives a whole new trap to the game
+Isn't overpowered yet gives heroes a hard time
Cons
-Could cause more problems on nerfing.
The trap gets more menacing with each upgrade, and can be built at TH 7. Because the cage is small, the cage has a small activation radius, but many can be built.
