This flips from being ok to being OP(x15 damage!).

Also I remember a Dragon toy from back in the late 90s early 2K that breathed, "Frozen Lavaballs of FLAME! Even my daughter at the time asked, "Isn't that just a flaming rock?"

Basilisks have deathly stare ability. Are you sure you weren't thinking of a Salamander?
