Call me lazy but I get tired of writing down my total cost of Elixir I am spending on troops before raiding. If it would deduct the amount used automatically perhaps displayed below the total elixir count, stating how much elixir spent on troops. That would help you pick the base you are raiding for farming purposes.
I know, I know just add it up, use a calculator etc. etc. If you are farming for a few hours it gets old. Unless any genius out there has another idea. Let's hear it Clanimatics.

I don't always feel like doing the math to figure out how much Elixir I have spent on troops and spells before going out on a raid either. Especially if I created the troops and spells at the beginning of a shield i am planning to ride out. My idea would be to place the Elixir costs for troops and spells in the Army Camp info window between the Army Camp hit points and the images of all the troops available in the Army Camp. There is enough room between the two to list out:
Troop cost: XX,XXX Elixir
Spell cost: XX,XXX Elixir
Total cost: XXX,XXX Elixir
