I'm always out of gold because of walls and defense upgrades, but I have plenty of elixir.

TH8 Here: Before I logged off and went to bed last night.....
Gold: ~100k
Elixir: ~900k
Never leave more than 1M of either resource in my storages prior to logging off. I was over 1.7M gold, upgraded lvl 6 mortar which cost 1.6M gold, and then logged off.
Amazed at what people say they leave in their storages.

Well, 195 out of 4.5M players isn't exactly scientific or definitive by any stretch of the imagination, but it would seem at least a good portion of our forum members who voted has at least decent resources with TH8/TH9.

IF you notice, most TH8s have more elixir than gold while TH9s have more gold than elixir (lab upgrades take a significant jump at TH9).

Well, that's how much people had at the time, some might have taken a couple days to accumulate a decent amount others a week.
