It's always annoying having your entire giant army be wiped out by archers/barbs cause they are focusing that wall to get to the wizard tower.

Even though this doesn't happen to me often, I agree. Shouldn't the CC troops be classified as "defense" as well?

Farmers. Pushers. Noobs. Complainers. Long ago, the four players lived together in happiness. Then, everything changed when the Complainers attacked. Only Supercell, creator of all four player could stop them. But, when the world needed them the most, they vanished.
That's what you get for not clearing the CC first.
Hey! I just figured something out! You can actually lure cc troops and take them out, before releasing the giants! Awesome huh?!😜
Goblins? Use barbarians and archers to barch. More efficient in terms of elixir and time. Or if you want to continue your old attack strategy, switch out goblins with wizards or archers.
If you want the loot then use giant healer to three star bases.
