    Skins could be 100% client side. The only physical constraints would be the device's ram and hard disk space. Neither of which to be honest are a big deal.

    Everything is client side now so adding more data adds load.

    You're correct on this.

    It comes down to what game would you prefer:
    One without skins where you initial load time is 5-10seconds
    or
    One with skins where your initial load time is 8-15 seconds.


    And more importantly, what would make super cell more money?

    Skins take up a ton of space. They also consume a lot of memory.

    Currently coc is the same size as pandora and 10% of hearthstone. They got some room.

    They have a vested interest in keeping the download size below 100mb. Furthermore you failed to address the memory concerns for older devices.

    Breaking it down to simple 5th grade math does a disservice to the concept of running a business.

    There's a lotmore hidden costs than you are implying.

    Like I said, great idea but they won't even make more flags for reasoning of lag. You think they're going to develop, release and maintain multiple skins for everything?

    The game is meant to be simple mobile gaming fun, stop trying to complicate it... Whether through unneeded features or visual stimuli.

    Visit www.supercell.net On the front page you will read. "We believe we should only be as big as we need to be and give our teams the freedom to make something amazing." You can see this theme carried on throughout interviews and evidenced by the size of their company.

    Finances have nothing to do with their business model. And that is where "Supercell does not simply hire more team members." comes from.

    Skins are purely graphical changes. They are just neat and extra and have no game play impact.

    For example, you could do a "cat" skin. Make all the troops look like cats, Make the TH a cat tree, Archer towers do lazer pointers, etc etc.

    My wife said she'd pay $15 for this easy, pretty sure every other girl is in the same boat.
    Even though this is a good idea, people look at the troop skin t determine the level it is. This would make it hard to differentiate between levels of troops, and what kind of troop it is.
    For example, if the archer and barbarian can both wear a "cat" skin, then i can attack with "barbarians" in a war when they are really archers.

    It's a good idea but it would just make the game so much slower the game has been buffering a lot more lately and they would have to do a whole new theme and everything but it's intresting
