Once I got my valks maxxed out I decided I wanted to use them. Here are my first 2 results. I'm impressed.
The bases I attacked were pretty similar, so the army comp didn't really change. I probably could have used more loons and less hogs to avoid spring traps, but I liked how fast the hogs worked. I'm a believer now.

For the most underrate troops ever... I mostly do so many crazy nearly raid with valkyrie... and as Early TH9 I have to more patient with who I'm targeting to... and trying to get 3 stars consistenly on maxed TH8s and mid TH9s bases... although I'm not good attacker... heheh...

Very nice thread going on here. I started using Valks a few days ago since my th9 is upgrading to th10 and I do not need the loot anymore since my storages are filled up. I got a few questions using the Valks..
I used to barch dead bases at th9, but with the upcoming loot penalty I am looking for an army composition that is quick to train and can take on th9's because the th9's are going to be my source of loot with the upcoming loot penalty against th8's..
The army I used was 12 Giants level 6, 2 healers level 3, 4 wallbreakers, 6 Valks en 76 archers, so I could attack every 20minutes. Should I keep my Valks at level 1 to keep the DE cost low? Or am I able to get enough DE still when they are level 4 and getting expensive? Which throphy range should I stick at? I'd like to know...

Masters, no problem. Upgrade those gals! It would make taking on premature Th10 who rely too heavily on infernos much easier.
if you stick to gold, then don't. Crystal I am unsure. But certainly you could get them to level 2.
But to me, DE has never been easier to find. What with Th8 and even 7 getting such a boost in production. I've even been using valks as a Th8 to raid for more DE. Since they rip storages apart, I feel their cost is manageable.

So I am really hoping for another level for Valkyrie at the Th10 level. As a late Th10 I can't help but feel I can't quite produce the results of a LavaLoonion. Sure GoWiPe and GoWiWi I'd pit Valkyrie against any day but it seems like hybrid attacks and the occasionally Ho-GoWiWi seems to be the flavor of the day. Compared against a hog attack, I'd say valkyrie make up for lack of 3 stars with solid 2 stars. Still that last cannon upgrade really hurt several of my strategies. Valkyrie need more HP now, so I hope level 5 comes in this next update.
Been playing around with Golem/Giant mix. Its an evolution of GoViz. Basically the 4 golem GoViz but with giants in the place of 2 golems. Its solid and super tanky but only started using it.
HoVa-PE is still great for crab bases and ones where I can get some decent pathing. However, lavaloonion popularity is changing base design at the Th10 and the open base types popping up aren't friendly to Valkyrie strategies.
Pushing/Farming I am still kicking butt but I am finding myself in need of evolution for war. I still think GoVaLoonion has potential but I am not skilled enough in identifying the right bases yet.
My minni at Th8 has been fun though. Have played around allot with early Th8 troops - Giants, Wizards, Valkyrie. Finding level 2 hogs just won't cut it, but 3 heal with GiViz and lots of wall breakers to keep the base open is very powerful. (On the farming side I am rapping bases for big loot hauls, and in war I am starting to net those 3 stars on this basic troop combination)
Soon I will have level 3 hogs riders and hopefully that will help me bring the pain to those compact, super compartmentalized bases.
hi, i'm new th8 and interested of valks. i love clan wars and would like to know if i can be succesful against my level th8's with valk combos and which would be the best combo?
