What about when recruiting in global? It takes forever to check everyone's bases one by one...
I think the only people who are upset of not being able to see there levels are majority high level players who are farmers, so it is not such an appealing site for they eye when a level 90 has the same emblem as a level 25 because he or she decides to farm. I reckon it is a great idea the badges. Give high level trophy players some gratitude for there gem spending lol.

Their response to the issue is more upsetting to me than the actual issue itself.
They're obviously trying to make leagues relevant. The victory reward in inadequate, so they're hoping the epeen value of the badge will motivate players to chase trophies.
For my part, I'm fine with anything that encourages players to ignore their best interests. I sincerely hope SC is successful at getting people to buy into the trophy hunt and league badges. It will make high end farming that much easier.

Not sure what is the problem with doing a small maintenance break to restore our levels. i for one am very disappointed that levels will not be restored. as a long term player it kills me softly to learn the direction SC took with taking away levels. i haven't read once that levels were something us players wanted to be taken away. we all said levels didn't matter but in the end it does and a lot of people are sad to see how we got our levels taken away
