    Time out adjustment, and why

    Dear devs,

    I get it, I get why the changes to the loot system. You want an economy change that inspires full attacks, not parameter ones. You want to discourage bots, you want to make the game challenging.

    I've been playing about 6 months, and for the first 5 I attacked bases to destroy them, get everything I could, there's something exhilarating to wiping out and clearing out a bases resources. This past month I switched to barching and this is why...

    With the cost of upgrades at levels 7+, much more raiding is required if you want to keep all of your builders busy, that means building more armies. Armies take time to build if you're raiding storages and during that time I couldn't afford to sit on the game for 30 minutes and wait... BUT if I walked away, the game timed out and I got raided. Barching was easier at this point cause the wait times were less and I could continuously attack without long delays.

    Raiding storages would be much more intriguing if I could build an army, walk away and do things with my life between battles, and not get raided between every battle. The game times out under 10 minutes and my town is immediately dumped into the attack pool. Can we lengthen these time frames a little? Either one? Inactivity time out or time after sign off before entered into attack pool? This would allow ppl to build 30 minute armies without losing 70% or more of their earnings between attacks. Ppl would then be more apt to go back to real attacks again.

    I'm not taking huge time delays here, I'm talking 20 minutes-ish... at least then a full army on full gemmed barracks child be close to done before getting dumped back into the attack pool. And if there aren't enough bases at high levels to accommodate this, let the inactive bases back into the pools... collectors don't give out much loot anymore anyways.

    Im almost in masters 1 right now. and i'm getting attacked within 2 minutes of logging off by a champ. Raising this "time out" thing would make champs hell and clouds would be in effect in lower champs and maybe even high masters.

    Not a Well thought out idea

    It would effect the top guys way to much too much to even think to implement this into the game. They already have trouble finding bases.

    missing the point

    The point of this thread was to show the broken dynamic of gameplay and offer one suggestion, I'm sure there are many other options, but fact remains that level 7+ requires lots of raiding to keep builders active and the village growing. At this point raiding with large armies becomes virtually unprofitable given the fact that upgrades require large quantities of resources and if you have 1mil+ resources sitting around you get raided instantly. Right now I order to do continuous attacks with large armies you have to sit on you're tablet/phone for hours doing nothing while your army builds in order to avoid being attacked and losing the loot you just gained, possibly more even. At this point it's not worth the down time to play the game. Barch armies let ppl spend Ann hour or two playing continuously without that down time and without the inevitability of being raided between attacks. That is now gone, and there are no alternatives to replace it. It will kill the game for the average player, which accounts for probably 80% of the users. So something needs to change to Fox the broken dynamic.

    I understand what you're saying, but if you look at it from the devs perspective, they don't want you to train an army and then walk away from your phone. They want you to stay online for hours at a time raiding. I really don't think they care if people are attacking with 3-star armies. They just want people to play the game as much as possible and buy gems. Sorry, but I don't think they would implement this into the game.

    I have since quit clash about 5 days after upgrading to TH10. Half the reason I quit was the update, other half was that the game simply wasn't interesting to me anymore.
