While your point is true it doesn't correlate with what you're refuting. Yes new players will need to use resources but it won't be a sudden demand of ALL the player base. Also new players will now see value in both resources as opposed to a two tiered system and will upgrade collectors and mines equally ( if they do so at all since there will always be people who rely on others to bother with the long upgrade times )

I dont understand how in gold 1-3 the win bonus of 5-13k is supposed to cover the 100k cost in nexting and cost of army. Its so bad right now I would prefer the old loot system over this because I would give anything to find a 200k base right now over this ♥♥♥♥. This morning I counted 50 nexts with nothing over 50k. I think the only way to fix this is to increase the win bonuses for the lower leagues. Also make the win bonus a ratio in how many stars you won to discourage town hall snipes. Too many resources are just vaporizing into thin air with clicking next and training armies and no compensation is being given back giving us really no incentive to attack anymore. Its like the whole raiding loot system turned into a slot machine where yes a few will come out and win, but the majority lose to the house. My finger is getting tired of hitting next so much they should just change the name to clash of nexts.

Yes its just a game I know, but after getting 300 million gg and I know others have way more its depressing to just have to stop and find another hobby.

Maybe another solution is to increase the % loot you can take from storages, but maintain the cap to encourage people to actually SAVE money instead of spend it all on walls now.

pretty sad the censorship the forums have fallen under....
To be perfectly honest my title is not for moderators so much as it is for forumers to know it's not a simple complain about loot thread which litters the boards and seldom adds anything of value.

Besides buying a shield, what's the best strategy for minimizing the chances of being raided when logging out?

    Here's a solution

Take a look at clan war map. The game has a way to measure a base's value in Gold/Elix/DE right? then combine it with the idea of increasing loot bonus based on stars in the reguler battle map! Apply same loot penalty for lower leveled THs! Everything's solved.. i think...
Sorry if things get lost in translation. Pardon my english.

Being a harder target than an easy inactive base. Second best is to have less loot to steal. I'm not refuting that second fact. If there's easier targets people will skip and if people aren't desperate for anything they won't be raiding for 50 k elixir. More elixir from collectors makes less desperation.

Whenever I read one of those wall of type threads with stats and statistics all I hear in my head is that great throw away line from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, "...and this my Liege is how we know the earth is banana shaped."

Seriously though I have to say with SC announcing not one but three maintenance breaks I think we will see loot return to a more "normal" level by the end of next week. I've been at this game since launch and I can't remember when they have done three breaks and told us about them this far in advance. The boost is a much needed and greatly appreciated way to give a kick start to the economy again. IMO it's priming the pump before the maintenance breaks work their magic and kill off some bunnies.

If they are fixing what I think they are fixing then major props to them.

Everyone back to your villages, nothing more to see here.

Based on economics of substitute goods.
    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Substitute_good
Except we didn't substitute. Gold was seen as more valuable because everyone max'd their elixer first. The costs for it were lower, and ultimately, the rewards (better, large armies, mainly) were higher. After they max'd their elixer outputs, they would start doing defenses. In the meantime, the *incredibly* large gold sink of walls loomed above them, always reminding them how important gold was.

Now, every fresh TH still needs to max their elixer dumps. As a fresh TH8, I can tell you - elixer is INCREDIBLY important to me right now. However, now, EVERYONE has an elixer dump. There's no reason to keep full storages, ever.

You just gave me some good hope! I hope thats what the maintenance breaks are for! been in a clan that has warred non stop since the war update and this is the first time they have ever taken a break. Everyone is just dried up. Wish they would say why they are having the break.

This is really not true. It is not until the end of each TH build out that you end up sitting on maxed Lix storages. Camps, Rax, Storages, Upgrades, etc. all need Lix and at TH 9/10 lvl they are not small amounts. People will have to start saving and do it often.

TH 9/10 I was totally Elixer starved for the first 30-45 days moving into it. I would not dream of dumping Lix into walls for months if I was in the same position again. This only works if you have it in excess.
