Been raiding very well in gold 2-1 today. Gained something of over 8 million resources in a two hour boost period and around 7,000 DE as well.

Seriously? I've gone from Crystal 3 to low gold 1 looking for loot, and I've found some, but nothing like that. You must have taken it all.

It's pretty easy to win almost every battle when you have a lvl 40 AQ. The vast, vast majority of people don't have that. And when you are upgrading your queen it's very hard to win with that army you use unless you use a ton of spells.

My queen is only 25 and when I have her available (which is almost never because I'm always upgrading her) loot is way, way easier to get.

I use loons at the exact same trophy range as you and win over 90% of the time. But I can't come anywhere close to 6 million gold per day, even if I attack every 40 minutes. My average gold take is under 150k (it was well over 250k before the lix for walls debacle) and I search for at least 15 minutes every time.

I got my lvl 40 Queen not so long time ago. And before that I made my 1,500,000,000 GG without using her nor BK (constantly upgrading). And Now the situation has changed, but it hasn't become worse, it's just so fine!

I'm telling you, guys, just stop thinking about loot, think about loot bonus. 1-1,5 mln gold per hour only due to your winning skills at 2600+ cups.

I admit I'm part of the problem on my TH09 account.
Since all elix upgrades are done the second I hit 1 mill elix I build a lego.
Everyone else is doing it.

And as far as farming in masters. Cheap armies will usually NOT get you a win. Your choice is go in full with spells for a gold profit but a elix loss (what I've been doing on my th10 account) or hit next 100x to find a th outside.
I'm not looking for 600k bases. Give me a maxed th09 with 250 each and I'm bring the heat. Those are the bases that are long gone. Dec it will be a year since that was the norm. R.I P loot.

I respect your playstyle but you are missing out on the perks of having high level troops, especially in a clan with a wide range of players including low levels. At th9-10 the game may progress slower but you can help out newer players with your donations, give them advice and inspire them by sharing replays and showing them how strong they could be if they stick out the grind in the long run.

Let me clarify. I work from 7pm to 7am with a 45 minute commute. Work days are for emptying collectors and doing a raid or two to keep my trophy level. I have time for heavy raiding on two days assuming my wife isn't being a pest. Life being what it is I have to raid in two hour sessions over the course of a day. That means breaking 5 to 6 of my cheap shields. I keep a low balance in storage so my raiding day means trying to make 2 to 3 million each and making up for the hundred or so trophies I lost from breaking my snipe shields. I've pretty much decided that any level above 8 is going to be unaffordable in time and barracks boosting gems. I'm in a tiny clan and we don't war so the higher level dark troops are an unnecessary luxury. For me my strategy is a maxed out 8 that can prey on disorganized 9 and 10's for fun and dominate other 8's consistently. I think it's a sane and affordable path.

Get real guys! Supercell have no interest in our moaning. They are pitching for the noobs that think that these levels of loot are normal. If you have only been playing for a year, then you are a happy bunny. Ignorance is bliss and Supercell have got the measure. In another 6 months we will all have quit and the noobs will be happy with loot levels. Supercell will be happily selling gems, and we will all have got our lives back.

I have had good patches, good days but overall it is dreadful.

I checked your base and profile ..... GG 400mill and not yet full skull walls.....still low level heroes. I was further than you are nearly a year ago. Back then farming was fun, not easy but VERY productive boosted or not.

Then came the December update and it started going downhill.

My GG is THREE times yours and I am STILL finishing walls. It will be easier now using lix BUT the state of the economy as it currently stands has sucked every bit of fun out of it.

I won't play again unless things improve dramatically ..... I certainly won't go to TH10 where loot is even slower.

As I said in a previous post I am NOT paying Supercell to be bored to death.

Yes to all of this. 250 - 350 bases with a little searching and a decent army WAS normal..... with a VERY occasional monster win which made you smile and impressed your mates.

Now clanmates are replaying 200k raids as if they have hit the jackpot! Sad how easily conditioned people are to poor conditions.

But the amount of time they are playing is dropping fast ( donate numbers are well down in the last three months) and the quality of donates is down also because they are saving LIX.

People are leaving quoting RL pressures but boredom and lack of progress seems to be the true reason.

Don't necessarily need to take a loss on elixir. It takes a dark lixir army to get it done but my hog army generally gets me 1 to 2 lixir legos a day while seeing a modest dark increase. Not a perfect compromise but since all my elixir upgrades are done for th10 It's working for me.
