As a new town hall 10 farming in the 2500 range, I can say that loot is okay. I am finding more gold than I did as a town hall 9, and I am making 3 mil an hour with boosts. However, up here elixir is very scarce and people are very desperate for it, to the extent of raiding me with loons and 5 spells just for 260 k elixir

It is not SC causing the problem, the basic matchmaking system has not changed in over a year. They have actually made recent improvements to loot from war bonus and league bonus increases, which were suggestions taken right here from the forums. I am sure they are monitoring the situation and will make future adjustments in the next update.

It is not bots farming everything dry either, I am sure they exist but they are a tiny percentage of the population, based on the 3000-5000 views on youtube on videos advertising such bots. Remember this game has 50 million downloads. The active player base far out number these bots and surely will be looting much more as a whole than all the bots put together.

My theory is the decreased loot is caused by the higher active player base, due to the recent mass marketing done by SC. Higher competition between farmers equals decreased loot. Hopefully SC will make adjustments in the future to compensate for this.

I am not saying there are bots, nor can i associate an increase of player activity over night. which is how the loot problem, for me happened. For weeks i was able to upgrade as i farmed, and then overnight... at the end of the week long collector boosts for 1 gem) The great bases with hi loot, easy to find snipe town halls (which i would do while building a dragon army for wars until i had only 20 spaces left), also the hi loot bases that were abandoned, NO activity, lots of dead tombstones from previous players.... have vanished. I mean vanished. Still havent found any of those in two weeks that had any loot worth trying for. Like i said, sloppy seconds. now, i know that full Level 11 collectors on a 12 hour shield are going to produce MORE than 30000/30000, even after a raid. So, whats that all about?

thats what im finding if i find anything at all. LOL - some of the bases i get to raid have 7000/35,000. whats THAT all about? its not even worth looking at. That's what im dealing with.

Im talking whats being given while i use up 200000K in Gold to find one that I MIGHT be able to gather 180k/150/ etc.

The one that really got me was watching my buddy who hasnt had an issue with loot, because he buys gems, when his archers STOPPED attacking the enemy TOWN HALL and went gallivanting away before it was destroyed. Weirdest thing ive ever seen in this game. hasnt happened to me thankfully, but i saw with my own eyes. else i wouldnt have believed it

I wish i could record my searches, to show you what im saying. So there would be no confusion. But i cannot on the system i have. So, thats that.

I am still having issues with finding acceptable loot. I am a TH9 with maxed defences, working on walls and troops. I play 6-8 hours a day, and raid 2 times an hour. Thats 12-16 raids a day. On each of these raids I am "Nexting" 50-70k in gold. I am finding 60-80k raids with the occasional 200k+ storage raids from maxed TH10's. At first I thought it was my league being dry, as I farm Gold 3-2. So I went to Crystal 1 and farmed there for a bit. I started finding 300k+ storage raids, but again its lvl3 infernos with lvl10+ walls. So, I slowly made my way to Crystal 3 over the course of a few days doing Dark raids, still not seeing anything really on the subject of Gold and Elixer. In the course of a week I came across 2 collector raids, and I havn't seen a collector raid in over 4 days. Not to mention, any stroage raids for over 150k were well developed TH10's. Going from looting 3-5 million Gold & Elixer everyday to about 1.5 million, has really slowed down my production.

I have devoted alot of time to this game and enjoy it very much. I have spent about $150 on gems to boost spells and barracks, but thats not bad in my eyes for months and months of gameplay. I have thought about just deleting the game and moving on, but I am trying to stay positive thoughout this dry spell, because I cannot see SC letting this kind of an issue ruin this game.

Please reassure me that this is just a phase, and that loot will be back.

Almost maxed TH9 (defenses) farming in C2. Finding plenty of juicy collector bases, sometimes exposed storage raids and the league bonus also helps a bit(50k gold/elix and 200 de). not to mention farmers with the TH outside. I still next occasionally for over 100k gold until I find a base worth looking at, but the loot is enough to keep 5 builders busy, the laboratory going and a few level 9 walls in between the upgrades.

All of the conclusions you are reaching are conjecture. "Thinking" of an idea in a raw state is one thing, they still have to implement it. They aren't just scrolling through the forums, seeing an idea, and popping it in the game today.

Plenty of billion dollar companies solicite feedback and take customer ideas and develop them into something usuable. Nothing wrong or unusual about that.

I do agree that the success and growth of CoC likely surprised them. I don't think that has had a negative impact on the game's development. The issues we face now were always there, just waiting to come out. The simple fact is that the game design breaks at high levels (TH10/champs), and the balance depends too much on an active/inactive balance.

I curious on how you think the issues we are having were always there and just reared their head.


Did they come on all by themselves? Did another company force the out? Did players who have no control over code and the game force them out?

No. SC did.

And no negative impact? How do you reach that conclusion? Look at all of the loot threads. The game is broken. SC's updates, whether intended or nott, did it.

There is no denying it.

And yes, implementing some user ideas, sure. But nit one to fix a vital part of the game that SC themselves broke.
