No I'm totally on your side about not wanting to cause a significant problem with something like that. But you have to understand that 5 spells are not cheap, elixir or time-wise, and neither is a GoWiWi army itself. Not everyone is going to be dropping that army and that many spells b/c it wouldn't make sense based on net profit per hour. And if they truly wanted to make that work, they'd have to boost barracks/spell factories, which would in turn help Supercell's agenda. The point is that it would at least be VIABLE, as opposed to right now it is utterly insane to try and farm using anything but Tier 1 troops.

The multiplier also wouldn't be something gamebreaking, and it would have its own penalty similar to that of the current loot penalty so that it doesn't lead to TH9/10s hitting every TH7 in Masters with a basic BArch army for 200k/200k/1000 in bonus. I tried explaining it a bit in these 2 posts, but again, this isn't something I think slapping a flat linear percentage on league bonuses, or doing some other one-faceted approach will fix. Scale the multipliers for certain leagues, and with penalties for hitting 1 and 2 THs below you.

Here are two posts I tried delving into it a bit. I think I had a third but I can't find it at the moment:

(EDIT: Points #1 and #2 in the above link were in regards to another fix people brought up that I thought would help, Point #3 is the one about the loot multiplier. Sorry about that, I realize these links are a wall of text as is)

Same as above comment for me at th10. Lack of loot available is ridiculous ( and has been ever since the looting calculation was changed in earlier this year ). My gameplay is now rapidly becoming raid once before shield runs out, stick th outside, get new shield with minimal loss and repeat. War once a week and that's it. Not paying for gems any more as it will become an endless money pit

On the third point, I would negotiate everything possible to make sure the existing customer base was covered. Unfortunately for the nature of this argument the comparison is apples/airplanes due to the type of product and the industry legal requirements for ongoing support. It would not be legal for the new company to abandon them. They could either leave support for legacy customers in my hands, keep me on part time/consulting to support them or more likely just take them over themselves. Besides, it's not like a video game where constant support is needed beyond initial purchase. We warranty our parts for 6 years because we expect them to last longer than that.
You're absolutely right, they're apples and oranges in comparisons, but you were the one who drew the comparison first. In your second paragraph, you admit that upon new ownership, their business plan changed and it was at the expense of their existing customers; very well paying customers, I might add. That is where they went wrong. Their business plan was laid out in an interview. (Again, I'm paraphrasing here, but the gist is the same). We want to make a great game that ENCOURAGES happy customers who are willing to pay because they feel their money is going somewhere where it is deserved, as well as they are getting a sense of accomplishment from it. It is not like that today, and it is evident all over this board.

I'm stating that getting yourself all worked up to the point where you feel the need to complain about something as pointless as a perceived drop in loot in an app game is absolutely ridiculous.
But feel free to keep doing so, I'm sure you're getting somewhere. This is very important and all.
I think people complain about the loot in hopes that something will get done to fix it. I know I'm in that boat. Game died for me when I hit TH9 a month ago because their is not loot out there for me to progress. I uninstalled but I watch the forums and keep in touch with my old clan to see if any changes are made.

No one here is getting worked up, except you who is working up a good sweat while shooting down complainers. Take some electrolytes, you'll need them. I'm a rational, and civilized human being, and I don't get upset. I simply put it down until the issue gets fixed; If it doesn't, then good riddance, there are plenty of games out there. If something is broken, it's broken, and whether you care to acknowledge it or not, this games economy is broken.

Also, quit the condescending tone in your text and get off your high horse as it makes you look a little silly, especially with your little soliloquy the other day where you blew up on a guy who made a dumb joke.

That's simply your opinion and in no way states accurate facts.
Who are you to say who is happy and who isn't happy paying for gems?
There are plenty of people willing to pay right now because a great game encourages them to do so.
Maybe you're not and a few other vocal minorities say they're not happy. But you are just that, a vocal minority with an opinion and no actual facts.
Do you think it's possible to please 100% of the millions of people that play this game. No, it's impossible, there will always be people who don't like a product or don't like certain aspects of a product. If this isn't your cup of tea anymore, then go find something that will make you happy, instead of lingering around being the unwanted and annoying inlaw at a family gathering.

Au contraire. I am a lawyer and corporations are 'persons' and have been since the 1870s. Corporations are not individuals but they are definitely persons.

just do what i am doing. Totally not raiding. Log in once in every 8 hours to collect and donate and then log off. As for the rest of the time, play the game that i told you last night hahaha more fun lol
This is exactly what I'm doing, I play 5 different games now. I only raid if I don't have a shield, if I do, I just collect, donate and move on. Oh and I do wars. It's actually a great way to play, I find I'm enjoying the game more and I'm saving some money to. I was never a big spender on gems, but now I don't buy at all, not even the other games, no point in it really, they will probably end up like COC and I'll have to move on from them to.

Sure you are and you don't. Ignoring the multiple flames you regularly send my way there are plenty of contradictions within this very post.
