    The loot system as it is at the moment just does not make sense whatsoever. Supercell wants to encourage storage raiding,nbut at the same time hangs on to a system in which the big loot comes from the collectors of abandoned bases. I cant see how this system is ever going to work, as long as it's still more profitable to build a cheap army and keep pressing next until one finally happens to come across a collector raid.

    If I was Supercell, I'd do this:

    - reduce the amount lootable from collectors to 40%. Collector raids are still there, but the profits are greatly reduced to reflect army cost and difficulty
    - slightly reduce the amount a player will lose when raided, for example TH8 cap would be at 200k rather than 300.
    - put a system generated bonus on each storage of something like 50k. So every TH8 would have minimum 150k available, maximum 350k.
    - maybe increase the loot penalty for hitting one TH below to reflect the fact that getting all storages is relatively easy when attacking down.

    Would that work? What do you think?

    I like the idea of a bonus on a storage. Could work really well. A th9 storage could be worth more than a th8 storage etc..

    It would certainly encourage boosting that's for sure.

    I doubt it would happen. SC seem determined to be stingy as possible economy wise

    If the resource isn't there is isn't going to magically appear by fiddling around with percentages like that.

    I think he was talking about an additional bonus that appears out of nowhere, like the league bonus, but applied to individual storages.

    That being said, I don't agree with decreasing loot on collector raids. The loot just needs to be increased overall. I would not be able to max my base any faster if I had to go after storage raids all the time. And collector bases are out there, just not all the time. It will be at random times that they are really present. Just in the past 4 hours, it was collector galore and I did a ton of lvl 9 walls.

    He talks about a system generated bonus per storage which injects fresh loot...

    A minimum amount, guaranteed, is what I think we need - as he suggested. Pressing next is the main issue with CoC and a guaranteed "acceptable" raid that means you make a good profit on every raid removes that. If you want to press next looking for 300k+, fine, but at least the 150k would be there as a minimum - which is profitable (potentially).

    The issue now is there are so many raids pushed to our queue that require significant effort to raid but only deliver minuscule loot - like sub 50k, certainly sub 100k 90% of the time in my experience.

    It depends how you look at things. The last one was in December, released with the loot update. The economy was wonderful, so having a large increase in demand was possible without ruining it too much (I personally think that the economy needs a few months to recover from such an event). Now that loot is scarce, I wonder what will happen when you will be able to raid 4x faster while producing ressources only 2x faster.

    But if they "release" inactive bases, I guess it will be sustainable.

    I posted this in another thread.... and thought it was irrelevant there so i copy it in here... since it is more loot related


    AM I THE ONLY ONE AROUND HERE.... OFFERING THE MAX CAP LOOTABLE?

    no seriously... I pass 10min nexting finding nothing over 120k gold OR elixir (never both at the same time)

    and i'm there trying to save ressources with 3M elix (trying to get 6M for research) and 1M gold (all builder busy)

    at that rate, i can't save for new research... I can't stay logged for hours just to wait for troops and raid (I have, like lots of us, work to do and irl things to accomplish) and can only grab like 120k elix and get raided for 350k each times i log off...

    and yes, my th is outside... worst than that... people intentionnaly leave my base at 39%...
